How are we ever gonna challenge the Mancs, Chelsea or Arsenal?

Mancs and Arsenal have huge grounds. Chelsea have an owner with serious deep pockets.

We're still ****ing around with a stadium that we've been talking about for years and we seem to have a couple of cunts who own our club with less business sense than Del Trotter.

Mancs, Chelsea and Arsenal will continue to strengthen.

How we ever gonna catch them or give them a serious challenge?

we have quality players, just not enough of them, we need to be purchasing better players,

yossi & voronin & kuyt and the likes are not good enough for liverpool or wouldnt get near any of the other top 3, whats worrying is that these are rafas buys, we need more quality, more spending power and be wiser with the money

We should realise that we are now in a league under the super 3, unfortunately i can't see us challenging them for a long time.
        We come not to play.

The only way we are gonna challenge them until our youngsters are ready and the stadium is finished is if our owners back Rafa to the hilt in the transfer market, if they don't, then we can forget about #19 for a long time.

          That is the realistic view.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

FFS it's not ALL about money

You can still only play 11 players at a time.

Get a manager in who has a defined style to the way his team plays and get the players that fit that style. The fact our manager doesn't seem to even know what his best formation is speaks volumes for a guy that has been at the club for 3.5 years and spent 125M in the process.

this is right really, time is the only way we'll be able to challenge

time to build the stadium and then get increased funds to pay for players, of course it means nothing if the man in charge at that time isn't any good

                    I can't disagree with that I'm afraid. I'd like to - but I cant.

True - to an extent. His defined/preferred style is to be negative; to snuff out the opposition, whoever they may be. And then hope one of his few match winners scores a winner.

I know that's harsh - but its true.

If things remain as they are Rafa will not bring us the premiership. He has to change. If he doesn't...... well you can guess the rest.

maybe he could if he could have the players he really wanted, i'm sure he'd love to go out and buy a few wingers and a striker but of course funds won't allow

How many reacher teams were in Europe in 2005, with bigger stadiums also? How Wenger won titles from Ferguson when they were playing on Highbery and Mancs were reacher club? How Ferguson won back title from Chelsea? Money is important, but is not everything.

well there were plenty of richer clubs than us in 2005 if that's your point, the three teams you mention all have more cash than we do, but do be fair wenger has used his very intelligently, but he really is a one in a million manager

Man U have built their team thanks to money splashed on very expensive players.

Arsenal have built their team thanks to very expensive young players.

If you can't challenge in the transfer market then their is no chance that you will win the title.

The manager must be able to build his team with his first choice players.
