If he wanted to make a fast buck from lfc, the way was to sell it quietly to DIC for half what the reported valuation was............well see
Exactly. If they wanted a quick profit they'd keep quiet and get it done.

Sounds like they, or Hicks, has taken some really bad advice somewhere along the line about running football clubs and PR.

Not sure if they're in and out of the press in America.

They are valuing the club at a higher level due to the fact that they have the new stadium plans and increased the playing staff. Sacking the manager doesn't really affect that higher valuation.

It's about leverage, I'm just preying that they think that they've done enough now to bugger off with the money.

no, were run by brash, unsubtle americans who run their businesses in brash, unsubtle american ways and dont comprehend british or iberian or european football culture.

if you think this is some kind of corporate finance masterstroke then i think youre wide of the mark. i dont see any possible way undermining rafa like this is gonna make hicks money.

agree with you. hence the loonies. i think they're nutters. only time will tell for sure but as things stand, i really feel sorry for rafa for this treatment. sure he's well paid but essentially, his good work is being trampled over and his successor will reap the rewards.

Well, they don't have a ****ing clue how to run a football club nor how to deal with the media in England.

If they had such strong plans before they bought the club, how has it become such a farce ? My take on it, they've just jumped head in because it was the 'fashion' of the moment and the fact that the Sky TV deal was gonna be huge.

I think they saw the reaction to the Glazers, who barely said a word, and said we're going to do the opposite. Gillett seems to have disappeared, though, and it's Hicks doing most of the talking.

i understand what leverage is in this scenario mate . you are correct if youre saying its how theyre justifying increased valuation of the club. i dont understand what you mean if you think undermining rafa has anything to do with "leverage"

as i said - if hicks was after a quick (hundred and fifty million) buck. hed have sold to DIC without this farce

please can you explain to people how you see undermining rafa as likely to increase the future/current profitability of lfc or the value of its assets (ie torres!!)

I don't think he meant that.

I think the americans simply, can't have a working relationship with Rafa going because Rafa is too outspoken and doesn't want any interference with team building. He probably thinks that it's their responsibility to come up with the money when needed.

                              is exactly wrong

they have an idea of how to do this that is set in stone and have been doing so for years.....its just not what were used to and we dont like like it.

i predict both owners and supporters will give ground

I wonder how Moores is feeling right now.

'One chance to sell the family silver' and it looks like he may have well sold it to the wrong man.
