The potential buyers most consistently linked with Liverpool in recent months are Dubai International Capital, an investment vehicle ultimately controlled by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, one of the world's richest men. DIC came close to buying Liverpool a year ago and are certainly still circling, although the source suggested that a different investor – or partnership – might be behind the £350m bid. A DIC spokeswoman said: "We can only say 'no comment' at this stage."

What the **** is that bit about ?, why would DIC use a phrase like that? Clearly they are still "in the loop"
"I just felt that the whole night, the conditions and taking everything into consideration and everything being equal, and everything is equal, we should have got something from the game - but we didn't." - JOHN BARNES

I am just asking myself is there any truth in the rumours that they have approached someone like Miskelly, who surely, if he took over with a consortium, would be in a similar position to G & H are now. Only makes sense to me f he is replacing one of the two. Could all be bollocks though.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

      * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

        at this stage....

Sounds like something is definitely going on.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Another point is that we are linked with players like Huntelaar and allegedly Iniesta. Surely G&H can't afford to sign them.

We had our chief scout looking at Huntelaar. Were would they get the £18m or so from to sign him?

Along with about 90% of LFC supporters. Will they be though? I guess we have to wait and see.

Something positive has to come out of all this...surely?

                          Probably, as usual

                          Time will tell.

Me neither. I was almost oblivious to it all. The Rafa comments were they key for me though...and the revelations about the club footing the bill for their purchase. Something they said they'd never do.

Just read this article. Sounds particularly good, slightly contradicts itself though, but because its the Independent and talks about this mystery major football financer it is sort of believable

The £500m figure yesterday was ridiculous and you could tell that story was bogus but this figure is more likely to be accurate or close
