Ok, I never thought to mention this before but after reading the following quote:

"DIC officials were today meeting senior executives from RBS in London, talks which are likely to be the precursor to a formal bid of around £350m for Liverpool."

Last week when going to lunch there were several suits flanked by quite a lot of security walking through to RBS and all were wearing Liverpool scarfs (about 2 or 3) and my mate noticed this and pointed it out to me as it looked very odd and out of place. It did seem a little odd as we were not playing that day and I don't very often see Liverpool scarfs around even when we are playing. They were not sheiks but just looked like any other suit with the exception of the scarfs. I work oposite the headquarters of RBS in the city. Probably nothing but there you go.

No, as bizzare as it sounds I am not joking. I work in Devonshire Square opposite the RBS headquarters.

Almost certainly completely unrelated but when I saw that quote about RBS it got me thinking. Pretty odd.

It's probably baloney mate. If he's emptied his desk then all of Liverpool would know about it. As for being in the states, he may well be. One thing's for sure, I'd be amazed if he was at Anfield tonight.

The main offices for RBS for the high ranking officials are in Edinburgh.

                        Agreed

I'd say he is just giving the match a miss as he knows what he's in for, read somewhere he only goes up to Liverpool once a week from his London pad for meetings with Parry & Rafa - would he even need a desk / office in that case?

That's unlikely to be their London head office.

They take the high rollers to Edinburgh not London. That's for RBS as a whole.
