Just been some news on Al-jazeera news channel and they are reporting that Hicks himself is the one who invited DIC to make this bid which sounds very strange
Maybe Al-Jazeera are monitoring these forums
It all sounds promising.

Hope you're right mate. Any idea why the Sheikh has had a change of heart? Has Al Ansari had his ear?Originally posted by Rashid View PostJust a matter of days, as I said.. things are moving fast. The Sheikh (unlike before) wants us. Just a matter of days...
Been looking on the DIC website, and Al Ansari's profile:-
Fair play to himMr. Al Ansari has three children. He has a range of interests including football, horse racing and golf and is a long-time supporter of Liverpool Football Club.

I would imagine they are very proud and powerfull people, they would hate to make two approaches for LFC and fail twice, they could view it as somewhat of an embarrasment. Which they will not like. I think they could offer them both up to £100m in profit to sell on.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Totally agree, the Arabs would be very embarrassed if they fail a second time and the fact that they have been the ones putting this story out to the media suggests to me that they've made considerable progress.Originally posted by bazza76 View PostPut it this way.

That's why i think that there is a good deal of this going through. Woulnd't bid again if they didn't think there was a strong possibility that their bid would be acceptedOriginally posted by bazza76 View PostPut it this way.

As i said a few pages back, there's been several reports from Arabic media (mainly tv) that Hicks invited DIC to make a bid, as he seems ready to take his profit and run.Originally posted by Sarb24 View PostWhat's Al Jazeera sayin then Rash? Do you think Hicks has told them he's willing to sell and will we get new owners do you feel?
