Well, I have been updated just as anyone else now so I know how dangerous they are.

Money is the 1-100 priority for them and they **** more or less on everything else.

If we could see it, I wonder why our board didn't?

I'm guessing that they did, but the extra $$$ talked and the embarrassment of missing out on investment after all the hype persuaded them to jump into bed with the yanks without blinking. I'm thinking as well that Parry and Moores, very naively, thought that being retained on the board would allow them to act as checks and balances on the new owners and ensure the club moved in the right direction. How wrong they were

The difference is that DIC look at their hole brand(DIC) to make a profit out of us. That could mean that the club(LFC) will make a loss, say for example £100m/year but the brand DIC will make make a bigger profit than that because of the goodwill they get as owners of a top class club.

Just because the club makes a loss don't mean that the brand DIC will do it.

IMO.

I think it is highly unlikely that DIC, or anybody else, could profit in excess of £100 million a year simply from the kudos of having a high profile football club in their portfolio.

Ill not lie and say I have liked Rashid in the past, hes a prick of the highest order....BUT....lately, for wgatever reasons he has been more positive and to be fair I havent really had an issue with many of his posts. However...please tell me why any of should believe a word he says? I mean what does he do, where does he work, has he got any legit contacts?

And Rashid, if your there mate, ****ing tell us what you think you know and stop pissing about?

Of course it matters. Otherwise every tfr window I will say "my source says we are interested iin Eto'o!" and then if it actually happens then all of a sudden im a respected insider am i?

All im saying is that in the current climate and especially given Rashids past why the **** should anyone listen to him?

To be fair to the lad (Rashid) he has been going on about DIC still in for us for quite a while............... I think he was getting hammered because his past reputation preceded him.......... well in this case it looks like he may have been getting proper insider info

likewise I dont think we should hound him about his sources/further information.

I used to be privvy to some low grade insider info but after a while you get sick of people wanting to know the exact route the info took.............. which would obviously jepoardise my source................ and I often decided not to post until someone else got wind of it

its a fine line you want to post snippets of info but those who wont believe it unless you say "I was talking to David Moores yesterday and he said..........." make you think twice about doing so

Don't know if this is merely coincidence, but in November last year DIC started to use the services of a legal firm called Linklaters on a cople of their deals.

Amongst other work Linklaters have also advised Arsenal and Fulham on their new stadium plans. As I say it's probably coincidence.

I dont think DIC do anything by chance..............everything they do seems to be well thought out..................... this does however seem to be the ultimate in forward planning

Yeah but the other week you used Chelsea as an example to make the same point that Abramovich has probably made more than he has spent in his time there. And they must have spent close to £300 million now.

I can see your point that DIC stand to benefit from our high profile but you make it sound like our high profile alone would justify the investment.

I only pointed out in that post that Roman puts the money he spend on players back as debt against the club as you should do in his situation.

i know nothing about rashids past on here mate,im treating his posts in the same way im treating toms,in other words im thankful for the info but ill take everything with a grain of salt until something happens.

i dont get that caught up in it that it bothers me one way or another.

but still in all,the lads info has been spot on so far,cant take that away from him.

I have just been told by someone who occasionally gets me (accurate) little snippets that interesting stuff is going on at Melwood this morning.

His mate lives in a house that backs on to Melwood and he has seen a couple of interesting things. Four Arabs were walking around yesterday looking at the facilities. And better yet, this morning he supposedly saw Pako doing some light training with Agger.

It sounds unlikely but when you think about it, it doesn't as Rafa has badly missed Pako, whatever anyone says. Maybe everything is falling into place with the takeover talk and the return of Pako?

I know my mate is reliable, but I don't know about his mate. Thought I would pass it on anyway. Don't shoot the messenger, doubters.
