i know this may be my own lack of understanding of business, but at that level (100's of millions) do people really try to push up the value of a business by saying "i'm not selling" to the paper?

i.e

DIC to H&G: we will give you £300 million for LFC

H&G: didn't you see the paper? we're not interested

DIC: al-bollox. how about £400 million then?

OK i've only read the first and last two pages of this thread. I'm now feeling a little excited that there's a verygood chance the Yanks will be gone very soon!

They tarted off well but turned into ******s, in particular Hicks!

Hope this DIC thing really goes through and just hope it doesn't turn sour with them in a few months like it did with Yanks.

We need some stability asap. Let Rafa know he's safe. The future could be bright!!

1) they're trying to secure a loan.
2) they trying to screw a potential new buyer for as much as possible.

If they admit that they're open for offers then the cahnces of them getting a loan are ZERO.

Look, my take on all of this is the same (I think) as a few others hear- we''ll wait and see, instead of joining in this mass hysterics ( and yes, LFC is vitaly important ot me, but you know, as a family we've been through worse, much worse times than this). I've seen enough i my time to have a distrust of journalists, especially sports ones, and i stand by my opinions of most of them, regardless of whether they know the facts or not. At the end of the day like you I want the best for the club. Lets all hope the riggt decisions are made in the coming weeks WHATEVER THEY MAY BE, AND WHOEVER ENDS UP IN CHARGE of the purse strings. i think the yanks have no intention of selling up. They're yanks...they dont want to admit defeat. They'll **** the fans and do things their own way (sacking rafa, not splashing out to much money on transfers etc...) and run us like a business - cost cutting and such - marketing our popularity home and abroad untill they see no more ways of getting money from us except to sell....and i cant see that happening for a few years yet.
