This is the way I see it as wellOriginally posted by Pacman View PostVery much doubt that.
The way I see it is as follows.
- DIC thought they'd chance there arm because of the credit crunch in the USA
- Hicks and Gillett would sell but only for stupid money
- DIC wont pay over the odds so it's a non starter for them
- Hicks and Gillett will try and ride the storm out and win us back over
- Rafa will leave in the summer following a massive payout but the statement will read by mutual consent
- We will be royally ****ed.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

it's a win win situation, if they buy us he's going to be all over it, i told you so, and if they don't he's going to be all over it saying i told you so (H&G are ******* etc, and are ruining our club)...Originally posted by Pacman View PostWho is telling you all this?
either way it goes rashid is playing a very shrewed game, witch will up his status in the internet community

Why would Parry agree to the loan on the G&H terms?
He need to stay in Liverpool because he is the CEO. He wouldn't be able to go out without getting a lot of abuse. He would get a lot of hate mails and so on.
Parry is ****ed whatever happens. Either he do it on the terms that DIC want and get sacked but can leave with some dignity or he can stay and back G&H 100% and make his life a hell.
That is my take on it.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

While I haven't seen any convincing evidence that G&H are the optimal solution and several things hang in the balance I really think the apocalyptic visions of some on here are jumping the gun a bit.
If G&H refinance the stadium etc. on reasonable terms and get the planning permission sorted then I really don't see us being run into the ground. In fact I suspect we would be run in much the way that any non-Abramovich type owner would run us. Obviously there is a big if in that statement but people are making judgments on the basis of confirmed PR mistakes and other than that nothing but rumour as far as I'm concerned.
I have strong reservations about G&H but I don't think they intend to ruin the club - just make money out of it (much the same as DIC will look to do).
I do worry that Rafa will leave if they continue but many people have said that we would have a better chance of winning the PL with another manager. I don't believe it and would be gutted if he left but teh club is bigger than any one man and the alternative point of view might turn out to be right."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Something interesting I have just read... I don't know if this is fact but take a look
Portion of the artical...
Hicks and Gillett have been claiming for months that refinancing is imminent. They plan to borrow £350m to repay the cash they used to buy Liverpool last year and start work on a new stadium. A sticking point has been a reluctance by the Americans to put a penny of their own money into the deal. Another fundamental block has been that Parry does not want the new debt piled on to the club's books secured against club assets.
For the refinancing to go through in such a fashion, Parry's signature, as a key player on the board, would be required, as well as those of Hicks, Gillett and the banks. If Parry refused to sign, his job could theoretically be at risk. If he signs, he risks the kind of fan backlash suffered by David Gill at Manchester United since the Glazer takeover at Old Trafford.
Full artical...

If true the Parry needs to think very hard on this....

Maybe we can get some anti Parry chants going on SatOriginally posted by baz87 View PostIf Parry were to refuse to sign then the Yanks would have no choice but to sell as they'd lose the club to the bank. Unfortunately Parry's got no balls so we can forget that.

why wouldn't he? he played a part in selling the club to them in the first place. he has everything to loose, he must protect his image and try keep on convincing people that it was the right choice. and if he says no what good will he do they'll simply replace him with some one that will do it. he got him self into the mess he's in, don't really feel sorry for him...Originally posted by AFII View PostWhy would Parry agree to the loan on the G&H terms?

I would add that I'd like to see what they say about transfer budgets etc. if they do - that's where we need to be keeping up.Quote of the year :
