What's even worse is the people that fell for his interview on Sportsweek and the new Stadium. There won't be a new stadium with G&H. We're on a downward slope now. I'm sure there are still going to be people on here calling it idle speculation though
Ah, i see what Hicks is planning. He's deliberately going to ruin LFC by selling it's best players, by not getting the new stadium and by watching us languish in mid-table obscurity, thereby decreasing it's market value...and then? Sell it for a profit? Do what?

The only way LFC is worth anything to Hicks is if it is successful, and to be successful the club has to compete. That means a new stadium is a must, the players on the pitch must be good enough to at least gain CL entry, hopefully better.

All this Hicks is going to run us into the ground crap is a laugh. He's in it to make money, and he won't do that if the club underperforms.

so, if the club underperforms, what's he gonna do then?

stick his hands in his pocket and buy players from his own personal fortune?

Anyone yet have any proof that DIC have actually made a full bid?

          Mihir Bose says not.

DIC has missed the boat. That much is obvious. HICKS has the upper hand and not amount of rumour about £350m allegedly on the table isn't gonna tempt him. Time to move on.

Yep, let's sit on our hands and do jack about it.

They haven't bid, but they're somewhere in the background...........too much out there for it not to be true.

Put it this way, if they were not interested at all there is no way they would allow their name to be implicated heavily for months. A simple denial would suffice.

The other story here is Gilette, where is he? Perhaps at this supporters meeting people can make a concerted effort to find out what the other co-owner is up to and why he has been so silent during one of the clubs greatest periods of turbulence. Can we confirm that his son has left the club never to return? He offers supporters no reassurance from Hicks continual lies and spin.
"I watched the Champions League quarter-finals and the way they crushed Arsenal. Only the greatest and the best can play such a match.

Nope, probably refinance the loan with an extra portion for player purchases.

It's a workable business plan, much like the one apparantly used by Arsenal whilst the stadium was being built. And they are now reaping the rewards with unheard of profits.

Our new stadium, with it's multitude of Executive boxes, will dramatically increase the revenue brought in. I know this, you know this and you can be damn sure that Hicks/Gillett/ANOther if DIC etc take over realise this as well, hence the stadium will get built.

There is a big and I mean big difference between our situation and Arsenals.

Arsenal only have the interest for the stadium to pay for, we will have the interest for the stadium and the interest for the club to pay for.

We will be in at least £30m a year worse situation than Arsenal.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

i think the 15-1 vote for the stadium has cleared up any notions of power gillette might have...none.

hes hicks's bitch as far as i can see,and hes removed his son so foster doesnt get screwed as well.

Hopefully he would stick his had in pocket like I said in a previous post, he can always get this back by pricing it into a sale. The other thing the doom merchants need to realise is that LFC is one of a handful of truly global football clubs. There are tribes that have not yet been discovered who have heard of LFC-there is 1 other club like that in England and very few clubs like that in the world. It does not make any sense for an investor especially one as greedy as Hicks to run down an asset like LFC.

Frankly he was right when he said LFC could fund his other teams because unlike the Texas Rangers LFC has the potential to become an global corporate giant in the world of sport. It can only realise this potential via investment and being competitive.I wish he and his mate would **** off asap but again it does not make sense to trash and run down his investment.

So that means if we miss out on a CL place and dont generate enough $ to pay the interest bill they will fund it instead. The new TV del will cover most of this I imagine but they will need to stump up cash for players in the next couple of years as there wont be much cash left after paying the interest. and they could always roll the cost of any new players into the price of a future sale to DIC hopefully.

these people will never, evr stump up their own personal cash for this club, not for players, not for the stadium, nada.

if people havent realised that by now, they need to read up about the history of these men.they specialise in leveraged buyout, USING other people and the assets they buy to keep them afloat until they can sell or run the asset into the ground.

its their in black and white, not specualtion, fact.

surely its time we all agree, they have nothing to offer us.
