Thanjk you.

I got a reply from Hicks. He said they would be backing Rafa for years to come and that they would fund the 20m $ players we need. He said it's difficult at the moment because of the exchange rate but his economists said the rate will reduce in time for the summer transfer window.
If it's sincere it's addressed my two biggest issues.
Copy and paste er for us there

$20m?? I'm sorry but that can't buy us a Jefecito...
NOT GOOD ENOUGH!
I'm not going to email Hicks, I don't want to hear anymore of his bull****. I will say this, he and his son are very good at playing the game, they seem to have successfully taken some of the indignation and sting out of some people's feelings with cheap email replies.
Not for me, actions speak louder than words, where's our 20 million dollar players for this window, Mascherano will be free to speak to other clubs now and we have failed to nail his contract down.
Well he won't calm my anger quite so easily
If anyone does feel the need to email him again, ask him why he ****ed Rafa around so much with this transfer window, not letting the man do his ****ing job. What's his sugar-coated reason for that **** up?
HICKS OUT!

Rafa has made commitments, and I have made a commitment, for him to be our Manager for years to come.
We had a situation last Fall but it is behind us.
We backed him last summer and again last week on Skrtel even though as you say the exchange rate is making it difficult. My people are telling me that things will get better in the summer. And yes we know the type of player that Rafa needs and it is our plan to secure them over the next couple of seasons.
I hope to win your confidence with actions.....not tabloid words.

Subject: Liverpool Fan
Hi Tom,
I’m sure you are getting a lot of abuse at the moment, especially since your email address was posted on the internet J
I think I represent the more rational fan and would like to make sure you are aware of the more serious concerns that a lot of Liverpool fans have. If you can address these I’m sure you’ll appease 80% of fans.
1/ We need to hear clearly that there are no plans to sack Rafa at the end of the season and that he’ll be supported until he’s able to build out a squad with as much quality as Manchester United for example. Those that have followed Rafa’s career know that he has backed down and compromised on his principles because he REALLY wants to see this project through.
2/ People are concerned that we will not be able to get the caliber of players we want as you seem to be struggling with financing (BTW I’m sure the exchange rate is killing you). I think the general consensus among Liverpool fans is that we need a couple of more 20M pound players a la Torres. Will you be able to fund that and in what timeframe?
BTW I wish you luck on the business, footballing and exchange rate side with LFC.
Come on guys, I'm highly sceptical that these mails come from him.
On another note, it's all about money, and DIC seems to be willing to wad some $$$ under Hicks noses. For all the 'right' noises he wants us to believe from his camp, he'll get out of here sooner rather than later.

I think you are wrong. There's plenty of money to be made out of us. It'll take them longer for the money to start rolling in (i.e. when the stadium is finished) but it's a good investment.

I'm sure it is. Being associated to this club really is a great piece of business. But if they're asked to make a 75m pounds profit (or whichever figure is correct), I think, under current circumstances, they'll sell.
Majority of fans don't want them here. They won't ever be able to offer us the financial clout in the short term to compete with the big boys.
But, this emailing campaign serves a purpose so I'd say to anyone wishing to send them emails continue to do so. The voice of the fans does count.
How do you know it's all bollocks? He knows he has to win over the fans, lying to them is not going to do that is it, esp. as he seems to be in this for the long-term. I believe you're being more cynical than you should be

It's bollocks in the sense that his PR department speaking on his behalf based on specific instructions aren't really picture what he really feels. If he wants to bargain hard then I think it's just what he has to do.
It's been a PR disaster since day one and the Hicks has a series of precedents with his past ownerships in previous clubs. Did you read some of the press reports Tom posted last week ?
He's been lying since day one mate. They haven't injected much capital into this club as we've roughly spent the same amount we're used to spending each year.
Rafa has been the one ringing the alarm bells and we should listen to him.
