Thanjk you.

i would think that this is typical type of stuff to release at this time, there is definate stuff going on behind the scenes, my worry is that g&h are in control, and at the end of the day, they own the club
It's the internet and media inflating a 'story' that perhaps doesn't actually exist. One paper runs something and the media latch on. The internet just needs one poster to run with it then its everywhere. The owners respond, it fills pages, and you have a saga about **** all.

I agree that the papers can tend to go over the odds with a story, Al, but what about the BBC's reports? They seem pretty sure and they're not ones to speculate normally.

when the bbc "understands", it means they have been informed by a trustworthy source. there is definite movment behind the scenes

I see your point but it is very rare for bbc to use the term "bbc understands" without there being some substance to it.
while under the ownership of G&H we've signed Torres & Babel. I'm not sure that would have happened before they arrived. I don't care where they found the money from. But we have two cracking players, and in Torres the best signing for nearly 20 years. That pleases me immensley.
So we're better off than 12 months ago. I'll live with that.

The BBC are essentially a media outlet like any other. They rely on journalists bringing them stories. Just because it's the BBC doesn't add a caveat to a story meaning it's true.
I'd love it all to be true but at the moment people are latching onto a media led bandwagon without any real substance.

It's not just one paper running a speculative story though is it. The original story in the Echo this week had substantial quotes from DIC stating that they were preparing a bid and that they would be delivering the bid in the next few days. I know that papers make stuff up all the time but when they have quotes, especially as large a quote as they had this time, it's usually true
"It's a great economic model. People are worried that I might take money away from the Rangers to go to Liverpool. It's just the reverse. Liverpool is going to pull off lots of extra money that if I choose I can use for the Rangers or Stars."
Tom Hicks on Liverpool FC
Have no idea if this quote is true or not.
Still it'll make for good entertainment to see the vitriolic response to it regardless.
