As for Klinsmanngate, if that's the way you see it fair enough but it was an obvious shambles by the owners to approach a nobody like him and thus undermining Rafa midway through the season.
A shambles maybe but it wasn't intended. They ACTUALLY thought he would be a good replacement. I don't think people should be having a go at them for doing what they thought was in the best interests of the club. everyone makes mistakes.I don't like the fact they made it public though.

About the debt, I don't know what's going on there and nobody on here knows the REAL story so i'll refrain from commenting on it. but if they're here for the long haul as they say they will be, i'm sure they have some sort of plan in place.

If we were winning the league, i have no doubt that gillet and hicks would be hardly mentioned on here (not in a bad way anyway)

I'll talk/debate reasonably with anyone who responds in a reasonable fashion. I'm not here to wind people up. I'll sayit how I see it and I won't hold back and if someone wants to have a nasty go at me for my opinions, I'll cyber destroy them.

They have lied - they have so far only extended the loan-amount - they have only delivered turmoil in the club and HOPES to the fans (and these hopes are not coming from men, who previously have delivered after their promise, but the opposite.

Nic you're acting like a muppet. If they genuinely thought replacing Rafa with Klinsmann was in the best interests of the club then I question both their judgment and the advice they've been receiving.

These two clowns are running roughshod over our club. They have no idea about football, and not the first clue about running a football club, much less such a unique one with such support as ours. They've come in and they've lied since day one. When Rafa pulled them up on their lies, they tried to have him replaced. They were playing club politics when they wanted to sack Rafa, it wasn't for footballing reasons.

I don't think the "best interests of the club" even registers on their radar.

These clowns simply must go, and the sooner the better.

and where the **** is parry, with all this public unrest he should of at the very least held a press conferance with the fans to quell the worries. by all accounts he's turned his mobile off and that to me speaks volumes. how much did that prick earn out of this debacle?

I'm thinking either Parry has been instructed to keep quiet, or he realises there is little he could say that would reassure the fans. But what a weasel he is. the club is in turmoil and as usual he goes missing.

Moores has profited to the tune of £9m by selling to the yanks as opposed to DIC, but Parry has done pretty well out of it as well. How a big a factor did this make to them when selling to the yanks? Was all the stuff about finding the right "custodians" bollocks? I'm hoping Parry and Moores now realise what a massive mistake it was selling to these two.

Anyone recall the yanks' press-conference when they first breezed into Anfield, and Hicks said something to the effect of "for David Moores the question was whether we are the right custodians and I think we are"? In hindsight what a load of bollocks that was.

shame on moores and parry for not putting lfc first. any decent person would of looked into there other sports dealings and seen the unrest they cause. if they did look into them (ignoring the extra mullah to be made) and still sold us, shame on them. if they did look into them, then any decent owner would of realised the **** they would bring with them.
shame on parry and moores imo. this sentiment is very hard for me as i always respected the way moores controlled things.

Absolutely mate. I think it's obvious they didn't do their homework - Hicks being the leverage buy-out specialist, Gillett being the former bankrupt who couldn't afford the club on his own. The board were apparently impressed that the yanks completed due diligence in 3 days :whatever: They should have been mortified.

Look at other clubs that have been taken over recently, Lerner taking over Aston Villa, Ashley at Newcastle; both of those have had their debt wiped out by being taken over and are now debt free. However you want to dress it up, LFC is now repsonsible for repayments on a £350m loan, and that is just the first part of a loan that is likely to increase by another £250m for the completion of the stadium project. You would expect the club to pay for its own stadium, but why should fans have to bear the cost of the club being sold and bought? That is not what is happening at Newcastle, or Aston Villa.

I've been interested to read in the papers this week about what a "personal triumph" it has been for Parry and Moores that Gillett and Hicks' acquisition debt wasn't places on the club, but instead the parent company (what assets does the parent co have btw?) :whatever: If it is Moores and Parry that have leaked this, that they have scored a moral victory, then that is a disgrace. They should be ashamed. The club will end up paying for the acquisition debt, and if it is beyond its means Gillett and Hicks will not dip into their own pockets to cover it, they'll either strip the club assets, or sell the club. We know Hicks doesn't pay for his purchases, why would he start now? It's not enough for Moores and Parry to hang their head, they need to work furiously to correct their errors. Their task was to find the appropriate "custodians" for the club. They failed miserably.
