    What's wrong with booing ?

Over priced tickets to watch overpaid footballers with little hunger, but nothing we the humble supporter can do about it.

The only response is ...dont go. But that's not going to happen now is it.

The money involved in football now is out of most fans comprehension, we now have the worlds rich brigade fighting over ownership, not for the love of football but for the love of money.

Players are earning silly money and good luck to them I wouldn't turn it down.

All I know is that it costs me a fortune to be a fan, everywhere you turn costs you money, they try endlessly to prize the pounds from our pockets. I'm surprised you don't have to pay a quid for for a jimmy at half time yet, but mark my words that'll happen soon. I hate the way everything to do with the club is to generate funds at any cost.

So boo if you want to, if you're not happy with what's in front of you, you paid for the right to boo.

Having said that, at halftime yesterday I couldn't see the need to boo, real football was back, we had a game on our hands, our superstars were humbled, the silly money they are paid each week counted for nothing, they needed to stand up and be counted second half, they sort of ..did.

There's too much talk of money nowdays, But real Football is out there, as yesterday proved, H & W played their hearts out against superior talent and made a real game of it.

Booing wasn't needed , but applause was.

It cost me roughly €150 to go to that game yesterday. We were playing a non league team, I expected goals, lots of goals and more goals from our players. I saw a ****e performance with no spirit so if I wanted to boo I bloody well would have

To whoever was giving out about the Kop clapping when Havant scored their second, what's wrong with that? They're a non league team playing against a strong team at Anfield and they score, surely we're allowed to clap their great achievement?

Clapping a non league side for scoring two goals at Anfield.

Yeah well done lads, we put Charlie in goal for ya.

Not with the way things are at the moment mate.

          It was almost a
"I'm clapping but I don't know why I am and don't know why I should"

          sort of thing.

Would them same people be clapping at the end of 90 mins had the result been any different? and lets face it, it wasn't beyond the realms of impossibility.

          I don't think so..

Thank **** someone else mentioned this.

I thought it was an absolutely ridiculous thing to do. Far too much respect, sent out completely the wrong message.

Yeah well done lads, you scored two goals at Anfield, go back to washing windows on Monday

I clapped the Havant players after the game on Saturday, no matter how pissed off I'd be if the result went the other way, they'd still get a round of applause from me.

It's a ****in' great achievement mate, let them have their moment

Of course I clapped their players at the end of the game. Respect. Fair play.

But clapping their second goal ?! Nah, not for me.

We were ****ing 2-1 down at Anfield to a bunch of part timers. They had an American flag in their end to bait us. Their fans were singing "who are ya" for most of the match. We are far too ****ing nice sometimes.

I dont give a **** about Havant. I wanted to spank them 8-0.

As did the whole of Anfield mate but to clap after scoring a second goal was very surreal.

                  I didn't..

ah ok, different strokes and all that

Their fans were on a bit of a wind up with the flag but hopefully it was in jest.

They'd have torn them new ones for sure. We go to concerts to be entertained just like the football, if the performers don't perform we all have a right to make our feelings known. This **** would never have happened under those two because they wouldn't have allowed any off the field antics to interfere with play.

I mentioned Shanks etc coz this is what takes me back to the time when we were a force in World football. Back then we never had to do anything except sing our hearts out and applaud the fantastic sportsmen on the pitch, nowadays we seem to l urch from one catastrophy to another and the average fan is getting fed up with this. We have a right to voice our discontent at the ground, in the pub, on this forum or even in our homes when watching on TV and the suits at the club need to sit up and pay attention. David Moores was an appalling businessman but this level of discontent never reared it's head under his ownership.
                        I see your point.

To be honest I don't think we really were a force in world football until the Paisley era but then again there wasn't really world club football in those days.

Of course I totally agree we have a right. Some choose to vent their frustrations that way and some choose not to and either is fine IMO.
                        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

To be honest neither did i really but i was in the UC, so i figured someone had heard it.
I clapped thier second goal even though i was uncontrollably laughin at the time.
I never felt the result was in doubt so why not show some respect for frankley an unbeleivable occurence in modern football.
