Knee jerk?????????Originally posted by kop1te View PostGreat knee jerk reactions to a game we should have won. We had 16 shots to their 8 away from home. They only had 2 on target all game. I've watched the whole game and the only person who should be shot tonight is Alan Wiley. He was an absolute disgrace.... Yes it was a penalty for them, however we should have had one for a handball against Lucas Neill earlier. Every 50/50 (and 60/40) he gave a free kick to them.
Some of the players were poor and lacking confidence but we still could have won the game easily. (Kewell and Aurelio really struggled)
Are you having a laugh, give people credit, this isn't about tonights performance alone. FFS, every day we fall further and further behind someone comes on here as says "knee jerk reactions", "you're all cunts" etc, etc.
We're going backwards here and its become desperate.
We did not deserve to win that game at all, there was no bad luck. How many of these so called shots were actually close to going into the back of the net?
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Sorry but that was one of the worst performances in recent memory, or in fact all memory
I don't remember us having such a **** run of results even under houllier.
We are no longer going forwards and steadily going backwards
Rafa has had the benefit of the doubt for a while, but I really can't justify playing Kuyt instead of crouch, not playing babel over kewell, and just some of the **** attacking tactics and **** set piece attacking and defending.
Board needs to go
Rafa unless he can pull off a miracle needs to go, don't have the faith in him anymore to take us forward
Half of the players need to go (Kuyt, Kewell, riise, Voronin, Aurelio at least)
**** off the stadium, lets spend some money on the team, because there's **** all way we're going to fill a 70k stadium in 3 yrs time if we carry on playing as **** as this.
This is turning into the worst season in living memory and i can't wait for it to end, like **** i'm wasting my time watching this **** on saturday.

I thought that too! Watched it a few times. He waved his hands at someone on the pitch and I thought he said exactly that. I didnt want to post it as it was hard to tell so I just decided he was saying something to the ref. Probably nothing though.Originally posted by Barnyard View PostApparently Rafa just waved his hands at the end as if to say...'thats it'...

I think it's very clear that the players don't follow Rafa's orders anymore.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

sad but oh so very true, just wish others could realise it! Although to be fair I've noticed a few adamant backers questioning Rafa tonightOriginally posted by FatTony View PostKnee jerk?????????

Whilst I can't condone some of the over the top posts, I can't defend Rafa tonight.
Only the failure of Everton, Man City and Villa to win has stopped me getting really moody.
Real chance lost to take 4th place back. I've lost count of the times I've seen us fail to take chances and get the three points, but you make your own look in football.
I don't believe the players have lost faith in Rafa, but ever since November we've just slumped down and down. I don't know what's going to snap us out of this.
It's been said a few times, but when a manager has a gun pointed at his head, there only ever seems to be one end result, and the longer it gets dragged out, the worse it gets.
A vote of confidence from Hicks has made **** all difference. I can't see the light at the end of the tunnel at present. I don't think we will find a better manager than Rafa, but the position he's been put in seems to be destroying his team.Forwards.......

No one seems to give a ****.
And you needed to start a new thread for that?
Great input into the slow demise of this once great football club.
Why not post it in the "post match" thread?-----------------------------------------------
