"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

I think Cech has declined in the last season or so. Before that he was genuinely awesome the first keeper since Schmeichel in the PL that you could see strikers put off by him merely because it was him. At present I think you analysis is spot on - the thing is though that bhoth are young and either could improve.Originally posted by Morph View PostI don't rate Cech as better than Reina, maybe same level, not better"The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

His penalty saving skills cant be questioned but as for in normal play more questions need to be asked, he's getting off way to easy.

I respect people's opinions but this is just outrageous. Alongside Clemence Reina is our best ever keeper. I wouldn't touch Carson with a barge pole. He's a huge liability and isn't fit to lace Reina's boots.

A quailty goalkeeper doesn't have to pull of spectacular saves that often.
I struggle to think of any goals we've conceded this season you can say Reina should have got to. He's about the only player in the team this season to be pretty much above criticism imo.I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.

And I must face the men I slew.

Carson is ****e compared to Pepe, who has consistently been one of the very best in the world since he joined us.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostIs this a wind up?Originally posted by Frodo View PostIt's a bad day but not that bad, get the blinkers off, Reina is KING (or is that queen?)Originally posted by BFG View PostThe reason Pepe isn't exposed enough to have to make eye-catching saves is due to two reasons, one that we have a good defence and secondly that he's so quick off his line that the opposition struggle to get clear cut chances. He's very good at punching under pressure and catching when not and his distribution is great.
Instead of saying you don't remember him making good saves ask yourself has he let any goals in that he really should have saved? That's the litmus test as far as keepers go.Originally posted by redlancer View Postlot more to a goalies game than just making saves.
IF you are in the right position you don't need to dive
Reina is briliant as being the 5th defender/sweeper. Go to a game and watch him sometimeOriginally posted by rage View Post**** i'm defending a liverpool player what's wrong with me? Nevermind ffs carson is **** compared to reina and if we can get the 8 million on top of the 2 for carson we've done very well. There are other areas of the pitch that need looking at, goalkeeper most certainly isn't one of 'em.Originally posted by Morph View Postwell unfortunately you're wrong, i know opinions can't be wrong, but yours is
we haven't let better keepers leave the club at all, and he's the best keeper we've had since grobbelar and probably at this stage is a better all round keeper.
i'd find it hard to blame any of our conceeded goals this season on him, I reckon you go and have a look at the facts before making such claimsOriginally posted by redlancer View Post
Reina is the best goalie i've seen at Anfield in a long long time if not all the times i;ve been going and thats since the late 70's
next time your at a match watch him, his speed of the line and anticipation is 2nd to noneOriginally posted by PTP View Post
this has to be a wind upOriginally posted by bobbyfallon View Postpepe reina is in the top 5 keepers in the world...
anyone care to name 5 better than him??
personally i think he is class and hope he says as no1 for at least 5-8 yearsOriginally posted by Dalglish View PostHow you can post this without having watched either keeper in action is beyond me.
At least I presume you havent watched either in actionOriginally posted by Yozza View PostReina is one of the best keepers in the premiership (only Cech is clear better than him) & will only get betterOriginally posted by Dhavlos View PostI'd be absolutely stunned if there's even one other person, out of the 4,500 members of this forum, and has ever watched one single game of both Carson's and Pepe's, shares IrishCop's view.
Pepe is a top keeper, one of the top two in the league IMO. Sadly I fear there may be a possibility that he'll leave when Rafa goes.Originally posted by Cacodemon View PostBloody hell, we might have some problems on and off the pitch at our great club but our first choice goalkeeper certainly isn't one of them. Crazy to suggest he's only average
