Thanjk you.

I disagree, how many times has he popped up in the right place to knock in a rebound etc. etc.
What do you base that on?
That he don't work effectively on the pitch. He runs around like a headless chicken and that means that a lot of his energy is wasted.
That is why a free position will always be his best position.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
I think it's more down to Rafa's tactics than to Stevie himself that he now plays deeper. That's the only way he can control him.

and I have I said before, he runs around trying to make up for the lack of talent or effort, pride or whatever you want to call it for the rest of team.
How is that a lack of intelligence on SG's part?
In a free roll he is good, but who do you leave to look after things? Momo was awful but thankfully gone, Masher is not in the best form but probably the best option, Alonso's first touch recently has been poor. Plus Lucas is inexperienced. Once you have left SG high up the pitch in his free roll and they have made it past the holding player you have Carra or Sami, which in my opinion is a weak spot because we miss Agger.
Is it any wonder SG is trying to cover the lenght of the pitch at the moment?
Winning an argument on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win you are still a retard!
For the team IMO. If I was in his position I'd want to be the best and play with the best.
Don't you remember playing football as a kid and getting the fat kid on your team? Were you happy and did you pass to him? or did try and do it all yourself and ignore the fat cunt?
I think SG is too much about himself, not the team.
As for game intelligence, he thinks he can dictate play from central mid, but he is not good at it and should leave that to others (Alonso).
It also would allow us to play more to his strengths imo. Better for him, better for LFC. Shame he doesn't see that himself.

I can't believe the level of vitriol that I'm seeing in this forum.
The club are going through the greatest turmoil in it's life, and people are in here bitching about anyone and everyone.
For ****s sake guys, get a grip and support your ****ing team.
part of that turmoil is a manager who doesn't get the best out of one of the world's best attacking players - who sadly has a misleading ego when it comes to his position. SG is a ****ing attacking legend who should be giver total free rein to attacjk from wherever he sees fit, or can be coached on, or on the right wing. those of us who aren't that positive about rafa are in a horrible bind at the moment - support a failing manager or the owners who appear to not know what they are doing. is shelling out 18 million for a fifth defensive postion going to win us the league?
btw, SG didn't perfrom against olympiakos, west ham and ac milan because he was captain - he perfromed because all caution was thrown to the wind leaving him free to do what he does best and it wouldn't matter a flying **** who was wearing the captains armband.

That is the problem, he shouldn't do that when we only play with two central midfielders.

I'd like to think that Rafa was making those tactical decisions for him. Going back to my original retort to AF, how do you expect him to run the game from the centre or put in a MOM performance each game if he is cleaning up?
It seems to me like people are only happy if one minute he is clearing a ball of the line, then making a 50 yard dash and then scoring a 30 yarder.
If he doesn't do this then he is a ****? ****ing strange world I find myself living in, I tell thee.

But the thing is, I DONT wan't him cleaning up. I want him to be the attacking enforcer he is at his best, releasing him from the positional crap and defensive duties. I want him to be able to use his instinctive drives further up the pitch.
I think Rafa has given in to the hype, that SG has to play in the middle. Sad, but that's what I think.
He is not a ****, but I do think he has a massive ego and that it gets in the way of the main cause.
