I feel like crying when i think of Dirk's ****e form this season because remember them top class goals he scored against the likes of Villa and West Ham last season? Goals off a natural finisher, really good strikers goals.
This season, however he's had a mare from start to finish really.
He's struggling big time and needs taking out of the squad altogether for three or four games, get his ass to the training ground on match day for some shooting practice and while he's there some work on his first touch, passing, awareness etc etc.
He doesn't deserve a place in the Dutch, anyone who says otherwise needs shooting,

Are you SERIOUSLY suggesting that when a ball is played into him the reason it bounces 4 feet up in the air after his "touch" is because he can see images of his dads face on the ball and is wary about kicking him in the teeth?

Fella, he is playing **** for 3 reasons.

1 - He is out of confidence due to playing so **** for so long.
2 - He is being played in the beardsley/dalglish/litmanen role instead of in and around the 6 yard box where he plundered most of his goals in the piss-poor dutch league.
3 - He has one ridiculously stupid haircut. If his head didnt look like a mound of blood stained tampon strings then he might get a bit more patience.

Dirk, whatever you may or may not be getting told to do, ignore it, stand in the penalty area and when the ball comes to you, kick it at the goal please. Thanks mate.

point 1 is probably down to point 2 he is being asked to been a role that requires skill and vision....2 things that poor old dirky isnt blessed with to much.

1 thing i think we can both agree on is that rafa has stuck by him far to long.....as even his best performances still fall way short of a striker fit to grace the liverpool shirt

Rafa needs to play him right up top with torres. Give him the rest of the season there. If he still looks **** **** him off. But at least give the ugly cunt a fair chance of doing well in his favoured (only) position.

How in the **** can you expect a man with the ball control of a **** to play as the deep-lying creative striker and look anything other than ****?

Rafa doesn't play Kuyt in every game.

As for leaving him on the bench, this theory has some rationality about it only if we play Crouch in the Torres role, and Torres in the Kuyt role.

It's clear that Rafa likes a deep lying striker just behind our main one. Kuyt isn't good enough to play that role IMO, but neither is Crouch. Crouch is a target main and a good goalscorer, but he hardly sets the world alight when he plays ... But his goalscoring nous puts him ahead of Kuyt.

Or use Benayoun, Babel or even Kewell in the deeper role. The first two are certainly a decent shout IMO. I think one of the two options have to be tried more often as we are not gelling as a team anymore with Kuyt in that position.

I really don't get the way he's been used. It also does my head in seeing Gerrard stuck as the deepest CM far too often. Baffling.
