The only thing that constantly nags me about DIC is why they didn't up the anti first time around if they were so desperate to own us.

If they would have done, we may have not wasted another season and saved all this embarassment.

well mac their are to many people with insider knowledge who are known to be very good and trust worthy that are saying we are being soled.

Their is no reason what so ever for the people who are doing this to be lying, especially if they have a high profile for these things, DIC want in hicks and gillet want to sell.

100% fact hicks was in dubai. but that doesn't mean a deal has been done.

Moral of the story is even if something is agreed in principle its unlikely to be formally announced for weeks maybe even a couple of months

I never said a deal was agreed, what I said was even if it had been agreed it wouldnt be formally announced for weeks or months

Thats not dreaming thats the reality of takeovers

An agreement in principle is followed by due dilligence in which neither party can comment on the situation normally becaue of confidentiality agreements

Personally I dont believe anything has been agreed YET, primarily because I think the local press will be tipped off in advance

The Echo work together with LFC, they will of been told to keep quiet about things until they are given the green light, hence the silence id imagine. I emailed Barrett through the Echo and he said DIC are extremely confident, but its not done.

I still maintain that something's been agreed with DIC to some extent. There's simply too much been said now for there not to be some truth in it. Gillette's silence has been deafening and then there was Foster's "tactical" withdrawal a while ago. Neither owner has been at the club for months now.
I still recall Rafa after the Wigan game in January where he had, inspite of a truly **** performance and result, what can only be described as a very smug, self-satisfied look about him. It was as if he knew something then. A far cry from the worried and isolated looking man of the previous few weeks. He's as safe as houses for the time being cos G&H ain't gonna spunk 5mill getting shut of him. Why would they? They might as well leave that to DIC.
That's why IMHO Rafa, as someone hinted earlier, is on a charm offensive to convince the new owners he isn't the **** stirrer and trouble maker he's been painted.
