come on fella, think about it. Hicks wants to make money on the club. He'll know that we have to spend to improve. He's shown willingness to spend on players whether it be loans or hard cash. I dont think transfers will be an issue.
why?

Remember Hicks saying a while back that sports franchises are not about winning but brand loyalty and devotion. thats where the turd has us by the balls. unless we show we can hit his pocket, there will be no change.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
well they havent so far under their ownership from what I see
so you see nothing wrong with borrowing to pay for transfers, and everything else for that matter.
it doesnt worry you that in order for us to keep up hicks will
take loan out on top of loan on top of loan, all of which will put us under extreme pressure to find the money to pay it back.
that doesnt bother or worry you

Sounds bollox, but will post anyway. (taken from Echo site)
Thomas has been in negotiation's will DIC for several months as has been confirmed. This has only ever been for a minority stake which himself and his representative in the dealings with DIC have always made clear.
Communication between Thomas and George broke down in late November, initially over the involvement of a minority DIC stake. Thomas did not wish to pursue with this course of action as it would have involved a lengthy and complicated re-working of the contract between the two and allowing DIC more involvement than their minority stake should allow.
Since this time George has made it clear to Thomas that he wishes no more involvement in the club due to financial and family pressures. There was also a dis-agreement in the general running of the club and issues about player transfer monies.
George has been in discussions with DIC and informed Thomas on the 8th December that he had an initial agreement with DIC to sell his 50% stake for $457Million (USD)
Thomas has since this time re-affirmed his commitment to LFC and has been working with partners to acquire George's 50% stake. With Thomas insisting no deal will be concluded with DIC, George has agreed to the transfer of his stake to Hicks Holdings. This is scheduled to be completed on the morning of Friday 7th (CST) which will be the afternoon (GMT)

I may be wrong, but I dont think he actualy said that. He said something along those lines, like 'it isnt neccessary to win in order to be financialy Ok' ( im sure someone will put me right, but you get the drift). By that I took it to mean that there wasnt the pressure to win everything all the time purely in order to keep the finance men happy, and the only pressure would be from the sporting perspective.

up until recently most fans had no idea where their chairman got hold of the loot or cared. now everything appears to be transparent and folk start worrying about debts etc which has probably always gone on but behind the scenes. I see no point in worrying about a £30m debt when it nots my money and I can't do anything about it. These people are businessmen for the very reason they know what they're doing when it comes to finance. Occassionally things will go tits up just like in the real world, theres no guarantees in life.
We now have Torres & Masher and have spent out on Babel. All this under the american owners. We wouldn't have them under the old regime. Perhaps they are evil but I'm not convinced.

We just need to get this stadium built and renamed and then start being successful again. We may not need to loan money then
I'm just trying to look at it with open eyes.
The problem is that we will have to pay off the interest of around £30m/year plus the interest for the loan for the stadium. Even if that loan will be paid by a % of the future revenue stream from the stadium we would still need to come up with the £30m/year from the first loan.
That means £30m/year plus a % of the future revenue stream to be paid every year.
We simply won't make a profit for a loooooong time.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.
