I think the fact they sold up a couple of days after DIC pulled out made it look like they were trying to save face. Surely they should have got the background on them and seen what Hicks did at Corinthians (sp?) and how he is hated in Texes?

why does everyone actually believe that we'd be better off with dic taking over?
do you think they'd buy the club, build us an amazing new stadium and spend millions on new players on top of it without placing any debt onto the club? why would they?
didn't they betray us when they drew up secret plans to sell the club on before they actually owned it? how can they be trusted?
it doesn't matter at all that one of them is actually a supporter of our club, firstly because feelings don't come into the equation in the business world and secondly he's not the boss.

It's their job & responsibility to envisage what might happen, they employed companies to envisage what might happen ffs, They had a simple simple choice....DIC or H&G.

No, because they were in a position wher ethey could and should have carried out there own thorough checks on these muppets. If they did that they would have quickly found out they were not right for us. Money talks though.

Bewildering. Gilette doesnt appear to have any more money to put into the club, seems totally disinterested in LFC and wants to play with his Nascars, has said nothing for months and now turns down 80M pounds. Doesnt make any sense except to try and squeeze more money out of DIC.

It's not about DIC being the saviour it's about DIC being dammed site better than Hicks and Gillett.

In one year the 2 yanks have:

Undermimed the manager.
Fallen out with each other which is beyond repair.
Lied to the fans about not putting debt onto the club.
Made plans for a new stadium only to realise they haven't got the cash to build it.

And so on and so on.

Could DIC be any worse? I doubt it.

Because everything DIC do is worldclass.They want to be the best at everything they venture into.Football is very high profile and i can't see them wanting to buy us and not improve what already exists.

They will want to be a major player in the worlds biggest sport.
