I'm no Hicks apologist, but. What has he lied about? Securing against LFC? He didn't!

Did they say we could have snoogey doogey? Sure, did they deliver Babel, Torres and Mascher instead? Yes.

Being an obtuse **** (which is an american trait) and which I see as part of a cultural acclimitization that he did not realize he needed to make. Where really is the problem?

Thought he promised to deliver all that without putting ANY debt on the club, by all accounts he wanted to put the lot on. Ended up with 105mill. Or am i wrong/confused......i could well be by now.

hicks doesn't have the money to buy out gillette, no-one that he knows is going to willingly purchase half a club with crippling debts associated to like we have now, he is fighting a losing battle with the fans, in the end every business man knows that without customers he has no business, DIC wont go away no matter how many times hicks tries to block the deal, hicks is (unbeleivably) a smart business man and knows that without eventually bowing to DIC's proposals he will end up losing his other sports empires....i'm not worried, it will all sort itself out in the end, just gonna take longer than we all thought. the yanks will leave our club!!!

With all the contracts he has given to American companies in Iraq I'm sure he could get a couple of billion in directorships and on the speaking circuit.

The man is a leveraged buy-out specialist. The way he sees the world is in terms of balance sheets and income statements. He thinks if he can make us win and balance the books then all is good. Something as subtle as the liverpool way, is way over his head.
