My knowledge of US Securities regs is admittedly a little shaky, but why are 144A issued bonds considered "protection"?

Apparently The Daily Mail were reporting that Paddy Power were offering 6-1 ON that Hicks will sell to DIC. They're now just taking bets on when. Bookies are rarely caught out by these things IMHO.

This has dragged more than Paul O Grady, its ridiculous now and there is absolutely no end in sight! The only thing I get a small amount of hope from is that DIC haven't come out and said that its all over.

Nothing, apart from the debt being removed from the club, wasn't so much a "promise" though as a comment from them in the media.The Americans have promised all sorts though not least a 60-71,000 seat stadium and that would be started "within 60 days" from the press conference!

With you there, hopefully it has just been taken out of the media, but i put nothing past Hicks, if he's in as desperate a state as the experts would have us believe.

He's doing a good job of putting on a strong front, calling all the shots atleast in public, warning people as to their behaviour, & of course his Termination of further talks with Dic.

I say he's putting on a strong Front, i pray that's what it is. As for dic, well i can only be prepared to give them a chance, they have the resources, we'll see if they have the will, both to buy & then invest in the club.

at that stage I'm sure it was genuine, he changed it bloody quick when I pointed it out. I think he said that he had changed jobs later on, but that could have been after Dunk took over the id, to explain how he still had info when Granada were no longer connected..

A focus group to investigate the need for a commitee and a working party to draw up guidelines for the structure of the commitee, if recommended by the focus group. There may also be a test group to assess the fans' feelings towards the idea of a commitee.
