I'm not getting excited about this until I see it happen, the press have been reporting stories like this for ages, "deal to be done in weeks", "this time next week" etc for me this is just the latest in a long line
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

£360m in debts and then £50m each to Gillett and Hicks. Probably the best deal DIC could get away with.

DIC will probably pay off the loan, they have that option.
I not convinced they will pay off the loan, they might refinance it through their own channels at lower rates but even then they will pay penalties on early settlement which will be extortionate

The one thing is they can service the debt and inject working capital into the right areas

I only pointed out that they could pay off the loan if they want to. Our debts won't be a problem anymore if DIC buy us.

If we are in debt then it will be because of financial reasons and nothing else.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

To be honest I don't have a problem with this - Utd are up to their balls in debt and it doesn't seem to have affected them in any way with the Glazers still backing the manager with serious money as & when he needs it

Once DIC commit to providing the funds to strenghten the team & the stadium gets built ASAP then I'll leave others to worry about how they structure the loan / debt
At a football club there's a holy trinity- the players the manager and the supporters, Directors dont come into it, they are only there to sign the cheques " - Bill Shankly

'Kop Yanks To Be Run Out of Town Next Month'

What type of world do newspaper sub editors live in?

Why not simply 'Liverpool's American Owners to sell up'

*IF* dic do take over I wonder if they'll revert back to the original HKS designs (60-76,000) that were recently ditched by Hicks/Gillett as too expensive - after all DIC do have deeper pockets - much deeper pockets and the revised HKS designs didn't include an underground car park which may present some planning issue problems if we went ahead with it. Plus of course the original HKS design does already have all the necessary planning permissions etc.

If this goes ahead i would be delighted. The only thing that disappoints me slightly is that Hicks and Gillett will be walking away with a decent amount of money each.

It makes me sick to think that these two mercenaries have taken advantage of David Moores' lack of busines sense and basically just taken money out of our club for nothing.

They will walk away with a profit and leaving us looking like idiots. All in all DIC bid is the best for our club. I hope it goes through this time as I was devastated when it fell through last time.

It represents a new beginning at Anfield...

It takes the piss that G&H could be such cnuts and make such a profit, but in the bigger scheme of things, the profit they'd make is small fry for DIC.

I reckon if the deal hinged on LFC fans raising the £110m profit themselves, we'd do it quick time. It doesnt matter at the end of the day.

I don't think the fans that have seen ticket price hikes, and the compulsory purchase of cup game tickets by season ticket holders, would agree with you.
                            Oh I don't know.

Now, where does me sign up for one of those price-hiked, compulsory cup game season tickets at Anfield? *drool*

Assuming DIC use debt as well that means we are 460M in debt before the stadium is even started (not quite that bad but 405M). H&G making 110M (55M each) for doing an excellant job in making the greatest club in the world a laughing stock.
