I haven't really read this thread and to be honest I'm not interested in getting into a pissing match about why I want Rafa to stay as our manager.

I can't defend things that have gone on this season, Rafa has royally ballsed up at times however I believe in the man and I want him to stay as Liverpool manager until the end of next season at least and then I will review my own personl stance.
**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

19 points off the top of the league. - Not good enough
Probable 20+ point defecit by the end of the season. - Maybe, maybe more, maybe less.
Struggle to finish 4th. - Again maybe
Struggle to knock Luton out of the cup. - 5 nil?
Given a scare by part timers. - Define scare? they were never going to win
Dumped out at home by Barnsley. - Enough chances to win 5 games, did Rafa miss any of them
No title challenge in four years. - No title challenge for 16 years before that
Strange team selections. - In your opinion
Odd substitutions. - Again your opinion
      Bizarre systems. - See above
Players playing out of position. - Agreed not a good policy
Persisting with flops. - Who are the flops he has persisted withArguably boring football. - Football's never boring when we win.

I'm not being argumentative but I'm a Liverpool supporter, that means I'll support whoever our manager is until they leave then I'll support the next one.
All the top clubs have continuity, all the top clubs have managers who control the whole club from top to bottom, Rafa has only been responsible for the reserves and youth since this season.
If you want instant results then supporting Liverpool isn't the place for any of us at the moment.
We need to support Rafa, allow him to clear out the underachievers and see where we are this time next season.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Don't worry he won't reply. He had all the reply's (in his head) and they all said RCDNW. You see even though he started the thread asking all these questions, he has no intention of replying to them.

It been predetermined by the thread starter that if you still support the manager you are a fully paid up member of the RCDNW brigade.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

          Exactly

I dont see why those who clearly want Rafa gone keep posting about it and trying to understand those whose opinions differ. It's dull as ****, as is all the "kuyt is ****, why not play Crouch" etc etc stuff

Ranting about it on an internet forum that has no influence on anything other than the mental states of the gibbering chimps that join in the rants is pointless IMO

It goes without saying Rafa gets things wrong, Even the media Darling at the Scum has made MANY MANY MANY Mistakes, especially european wise.

People assume that because we back Rafa we dont see this. We do. But constant doubting of his credentials is nonsense. He WILL go on to be considered one of the best around, I hope it's in a new stadium with LFC & DIC. Then, FINALLY, we can start to move on.

I haven't read through all of this thread, but I said at the start of the season that the end of this season was the time to judge Rafa, as events have unfolded off the pitch, I would now say that it would be unfair to judge Rafa on this season's results.

Alot of people seem to like pointing out that off the field events shouldn't affect the manager and the team, this is unrealistic in my opinion, especially as it was Rafa who brought all this out into the public domain. If it wasn't for him we wouldn't be as aware of the boardroom sitution and his involvement has clearly affected him and the team. He should be given another season at least.

Obviously he has made some mistakes, in team selections, substitutions and in the transfer market, but all managers do and he has to take responsibility for that to some extent, as do the players for their performances. But the cup exit wasn't due to bad tactics, like many times this season it was due to failing to convert chances.

Where we struggle to compete in the transfer market is letting us down, if we had the money to compete with Chelsea and Man Utd in the transfer market we would be competing with them in the table. If you look at the 10 most expensive premiership players 5 have been signed by Chelsea, 4 by Man Utd and the other by us (Torres who comes in at Number 8) Those two clubs have probably signed as many players costing over £20m as we have signed costing over £10m. On those terms we just can't compete
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I dont see why you get all defensive and in plenty of cases, abusive. We're all LFC fans and we all want the best for the club, but have different ideas on how that's achievable.

Plenty disagree with me, but in many case, there's still scope to discuss it without being abusive and petty. I dont see why it shouldnt be the case when discussing it with you too.
What makes no sense? The fact that you're calling for Rafa's head at every opportunity? The fact that anyone who wants Rafa to stay and succeed is a member of the RCDNW Brigade?

Fair enough about me being abusive unneccessarily, but it's not a regular thing DJS. I came on the other day to read posts about how Kuyt was an ugly c**t and should f**k off. And how Benitez should go on holiday and not come back. I reacted to that in the wrong way and apologise for that, but it was the straw that broke the camels back for me. I'd be interested to know where you got "plenty of cases" of me being abusive from.

You're very good at whipping up this anti-Rafa/pro-Mourinho frenzy, dismissing other peoples opinions, at least the ones that differ from yours, and then denying what you're doing. I'm sick of Liverpool "supporters" not supporting our club. That includes the manager, the players and everyone else connected. There are so many internet managers out there that seem to know better than our manager. It gets very tiring.

You are one of the main culprits, but you're clever enough to dress it up and let the other less intelligent people do your dirty work. (That may sound patronising, but i'm sorry, that's the way it is).

Get behind the ****ing club and stop pushing your dirty agenda on everyone. The more you deny you have an agenda, the less credibility you have. Take responsibilty for what you say (as I have done) and be accountable, but most of all, do what "fans" should do. That's not being blind or burying your head in the sand, that's make the most of what we've got and show that you're behind the ****ing club.

If i've been offensive at all (to you or anyone else) again, I apologise.
                            That's the one...

Can't you try and support the team and the manager, he is still the manager weather you like it or not so support would be great.
I'll be happy when LFC achieve what the club is capable of. I'd be over the moon if rafa is the one who takes us there. But i dont believe he'll do that.
I support the club, i want the best for the club. I believe his mistakes are taking us backwards and damaging the club. I believe Jose Mourinho would win the title for LFC.

                                It's as easy as that.
