I support the club, i want the best for the club. I believe his mistakes are taking us backwards and damaging the club. I believe Jose Mourinho would win the title for LFC. I want LFC to win the title.

    It's as easy as that.

That should of been what your opening post said DJS. You would have a lot more respect from me and I suspect a lot of other posters if you just came out and said instead of asking a bunch of questions you had no intention of answering. You waited for the right reply and directed it to your preferred destination.

Why do you use that tactic? Simple. Your an attention seeker, that is why and it helps explain why you covet the biggest attention seeking BLERT I have ever come across.

BTW if I was offensive in any way yesterday I couldn't give a ****.

Which mistakes and how are they taking the club backwards?

We pass the ball across the pitch, not down it, there is no penetration whatsoever from our wide players or full-backs to join the attack and stretch the opposition, or not enough should i say.

From midfield we only have Gerrard who makes runs beyond the front men to get into the box - we even have a striker who gets nowhere near the penalty area for most of the game.

We're set up as 2 banks of 4 across the pitch with no fluidity whatsoever within that set-up, certainly in midfield and for me the thinking behind that is not to concede, see what the opposition are going to do before we start to do anything ourselves. IMO we have players who can play a fluid game but theyre not allowed to.

Case in point for this would be a game pre-season where Yossi started behind Torres, and the movement and inter-action from both these guys was a joy, and i remember thinking that for the first time in years we looked like a genuine attacking force like the Mancs and Arsenal. In the second half Yossi went to the left but was still jinking around just behind Torres and cutting inside to get our opponents on the back foot

It seems to me though that this season Yossi is cutting inside and playing the little 5 yard through balls that he does so well, less and less. Again, i believe this a directive from Rafa to stay out wide where he will do little or no damage to the opposition, but will protect his full-back.

Just an example of something that has stood out for me this year to highlight the over cautious approach Rafa takes and imo, worrying too much about the opposition.

For me, its not the players not knowing the basics of football, but more that they are playing to the instructions of their manager, so that perhaps they have a chance of playing more than 2 games on the trot.

No I agree, I think it IS down to the coaching staff, although I also think it has a lot to do with some of the average players in our side too.

I think i've gone into that many times already, it's fairly obvious.

I think the whole debate is pointless.

Some fans think Rafa should get more time, some fans think he's had long enough to get it right.

Everyone is just going round in circles.

I believe in Rafa and think he's the right man for the job and no matter what Syd tells me he isn't going to change my mind.

Syd clearly thinks Rafa has run his course and no matter what anyone tells him he's made up his mind.

This thread is just going round in circles with people trying to score points off each other.

We all love Liverpool people are entitled to their opinion but now more than ever our team and manager need us all to pull together.

I'm not saying that because he clearly has done some things wrong. Tonight though shows why there is no better man for us at present IMO

I still find it amazing that we've scored more than Chelsea, conceded the same and are still 11 points behind them in the league.A few more lethal finishers in the team and we'd be a lot closer to the top than we are now.We ain't that far away IMO.

exactly, we tend to control the tempo and possession in most games, yet don't have the attacking pieces to finish off this dominance

if rafa is able to land his top attacking targets.....
