    No, forget the 'comfortable position'...

In terms of players each have got, we are easily better than City, everton and villa...which is why 4th place is a huge achievement for them, while it's bare minimum for us.

Do you really don't think that he has pointed that out already? The no performing thing has gone on for months now, not only a game or two.

He has already tried to get them playing for him IMO but they just don't care.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

So instead, we buy 3 average players at £6m each, and none of them do much better than the '17 year old' (which is a myth anyway) would do.

'If' the £15m player gets injured...percentage wise, the chances are slim.

Why not actually have the balls to chance it? The rewards can be plentiful.

we arn't that much better than City. They have put together a very tidy side.

Torres and Gerrard apart, they are about even keel with us IMO.

Would work if you have a guaranteed transfer budget.

All this guff about "had to buy his 2nd and 3rd choice targets".

Which manager always gets his first choice targets? Answer: none of them

So if he cant get them playing, isnt the solution to replace him with someone who can?

and if it goes tits up and the player get a long term injury.....which happens more often that not in these circumstances. The results would be catastrophic!!

Rafa has had to dig and scratch for money. He has never gotten his first choice, until he got Torres. We wanted Simao and Alves......we got Pennant.

Sven is a better manager than Rafa in the transfer market but that is because he is older and have more connections all over the world. Rafa will get there but it takes time to build up connections and thrust.

Rafa has only been at the top for seven years. Sven has been at the top the last 25 years.

How does it happen 'more often than not' ??? That's plainly not true.

The rest of the squad isn't good enough if you count in all the injuries we have/had.

Wenger? So he never failed with a bid for Fowler then?
Mourinho? So he never failed in a bid to get Henry?
                                Grant? Who has he signed?
Ferguson? David Hirst, Alan Shearer, Ronaldinho?
Rijkaard? Didn't he bid for Fabregas last summer? Anyway, is he competing this season?
Schuster? Can't comment because I don't follow Madrid.

Blown that out of the water
