Chuffed to ****. I & we needed that one.

Great game to a man- especially Masher again. What a player he is.

THought Lucas did really well too to be fair- a few misplaced passes but he seemed to be quick to pick up the rebound. (Summat we've not seen from Xabi of late sadly). HE still looks like Sally Gunnel tho.

    Well done Dirky too

      I will be totally honest....

      gerrard was ****in class...
      mascher was ****in class...
torres worked very well...would have been magic if he scored that one-on-one
      sami played well...
carra was solid - still tends to ****in hoof for me though - pity he doesnt simply play a short pass to a person that can do more with the ball
finnan - played as good as he has done all season - more of the same please
aurelio - got a lot of the ball and i think if his crossing was better then we could have scored earlier..
kuyt - worked very hard as always...got lucky with the goal with the deflection but he did extremely well to keep it down and get a reasonable shot away...
reina - not much to do
lucas - good play....did the simply things well
babel - okay - a bit like aurelio in that he got a lot of the ball but maybe didnt maximise his use of it
crouch - okay - caused the inter defenders problems with his presence
pennent - did okay too - maybe he is an impact player too???

as for the inter players - cordoba was good, chivu was good.... what i didnt like was all their ****in high-fives when they cleared from us etc....******s - in my view, you celebrate when you go through at the end of the second leg...

oh and zlatan, me bollox is he the best striker in the world as has been spouted about - he'd be another kuyt in this league....sami isnt exactly the sami of 10 years ago and he still had him in his pocket....

        But anyway, who cares!
I thought he was going down a bit too easily myself. I also think he looked a bit tired towards the end of the game. But I guess you have to expect that.

He was good defensively, but we need a better attacking RB.

Rafinha is the one for me.
He's not that slow, flew up the right flank tonight no bother anyway.
Not the quickest but he's a very good footballer.

What a brilliant performance tonight, we were at them from the first whistle and played with a high tempo and width throughout and looked like a team at the top of their game. Torres looked razor sharp, Kuyt was fantastic, Babel looked like causing danger whenever he got the ball, we dominated their Midfield with all 3 of Lucas, Mascher and Gerrard overpowering and controlling the middle and it was good to see the old Stevie Finnan back overlaping on the right and creating another attacking option. Aurellio struggled again tonight and at times looked woeful, When Arbeloa is fully fit I would expect him to start at left back.

That team should be challenging for he Premiership, we made arguably the best team in Europe look decidedly average even before Mazzeratti was sent off, why the hell can't we play like this every week??

                    Ah the good times

Kuyt was excellent, as was Rafa.

                    That is all from me.

                            Well played tonight lads.

I thought with five minutes to go it was going to end up scoreless but fair play to the lads they kept going right to the end.

We got a bit of luck with the deflection for Kuyt's goal and the Materazzi sending off, which was very harsh, but we'll take all we can get after our recent run.

Fantastic night & a great win.

Well done to Rafa and the team, well deserved.

I honestly thought the sending off made it harder for us. They sat back with no intention of going forward and made it very hard for us to break down
