    kuyt

3 good games in a row.

    Thought he has done well.

Looking like he will finish the season strongly.

Babbel is getting more comfortable in the prem too.

Would just like to see xabi hitting a bit of form/playing soon, as this formation will suit his game perfectly. He can dictate our play from there.

yeah, to be fair, he has improved.

i think his touch has come back, he does control / hold the ball really well (when on form)

i didnt think babel had his best game today, i would like him to be given a free role behind el nino, dont know if it will heppen though.

and agree, will the real xabi alonso please stand up

I just cant understand why he misses so many sitters. Thats the only thing really. When a striker misses a sitter the whole crowd tends to groan. But we are just so used to it now we just accept it as normal from him

He was great against Inter and he was decent today. But he missed sitters against Barnsley and had another good chance today 5 yards out on his left foot. Dont get it, needs to get his head over the ball and drill them low

He was decent, but I am sorry to say, still not good enough for us.

His work rate is superb. I admire him greatly for this.

Some players are blessed with great ability and would be world beaters if they had his work ethic.

I`d give him another season as 3rd choice after we buy Villa.Crouch as 4th.

How can Kuyt be ahead of Crouch in the pecking order??

              because crouch has no pace.

when crouch plays, defences play way deeper and leave no space behind, which would negate the impact of el nino, our main threat

they wont work together as it would all be too deep, imo

                  is kuyt playing up top?

no, he is on the wing , and is more versatile that any of our other strikers with regards to positioning, hence he is in.

playing crouch limits or can inhibit the way the team attacks, effective sometimes, but predictable

We dont have the players for this 4-2-3-1 system currently. Hence we should play 2 up front and Crouch should be one of them.

Because Crouch alot of the time Cant be arsed. Thats his problem. Look at his performances against Havant and against Barnsley and you'll see why Rafa keeps dropping him. If he made the effort every single game like he did against Sunderland then he would play everyweek. But thats just it, he doesnt

your missing my point, i dont believe crouch and torres would work, and rafa obviously dosent either.

torres wants space in behind the defenders, if crouch plays, he wont have any as teams play deeper and crouch will keep them higher up the pitch.

if el nino was injured, i would have crouchy in.

otherwise, i dont think it will work, imo

our attack must be built around torres and if that means sacrificing crouch, then so be it

So torres has never played up front in a two before then?
