Sami Hyypia aiming to win new Liverpool contract

This isen't just about whether youngsters should get the chance, and how many games he will get, to me it is just as much about how to treat legends and the benefit of the pitch...

Give sami a 1-year extension untill he will retire in his own time. He will be a benefit to youngsters and new players joining the club. He is a leader and a legend in the squad. We should treat players like that the same way AC Milan does or Real has started to do now!

What can you say that hasn't already been said? He's been brilliant this season and I'm ecstatic for him. I hope he gets a new contract - he deserves one and, to be honest, I think he is still capable of doing a job for us.

If there's any justice he'll get that contract. A model pro who can step in whenever needed and it's almost like he was never anything other than a first choice. We'd be incredibly hard pushed to find anyone better for 4th choice and he'll be a great example to our younger CBs.
