On the subject of former players who aren't the brightest, I'd have to say that Emre Can is right up there. Was watching a Dortmund clip with him and Julian Brandt the other day and he comes across really slow. It's in German too, so you can't even make the language excuse. NB: Not worth wasting 20 minutes watching - it's quite dull (like Can).

I like McAteer. Comes across quite well, even if not the sharpest. Could definitely believe the pizza story.

Never could bring myself to watch the depression programme though, even though I had planned to.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Funnily enough I've never felt the same about Warren Barton

There was an email going round years ago detailing a load of the McAteer-isms......

Ruddock used to go on about thick McAteer was. And if Ruddock is saying that about you!??!?!?

          Few examples:

          - Shouting out "ONE HUNDRED ANDDDD EIGGHTTY" when he bumped into Jimmy White
          - Filling out a travel visa form and in "Position" putting "Right wing back" instead of "professional footballer"
          - When he locked his keys into his car, his friend asked him to get a coat hanger and they'd try to break in. Jason comes back out with a wooden hanger.

On the subject has anyone read Robbie's autobiography? No surprise that the running gag of that team was pissing in each others pints. Something about Steve Harkness ****ting in Collymore's toiletry bag too if I recall correctly.

He was amazing for us wasn't he. At his peak with Suarez we were formidable.

Is there a story behind that? He went in to property development didn't he? Is it for charity as can't imagine he is short of money

You can look his company up on companies house.

They have had the receivers in since last summer. What a nightmare though, looking through the items, that is a nice little careers worth of trophies he had there.
