Knowingly breaking rules to gain an advantage is the definition of cheating, it’s pretty straightforward.

precisely that. In reality it is little different from diving

He didn't gain any advantage though and never would have in that position. It was just frustration losing the ball.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

It's more a mindset thing. I just don't think someone that hasn't played a highly competitive game would have any idea on the thought process that goes through your head as a player in these moments, or whats expected of you from teammates in these moments.
Jeez, now you get all serious!!!

I think different players even pro’s respond differently. You know the ones that would 100% take the yellow. And then there are times as you intimate when you’ve no option. If a players running in on goal and you are 1 nil up with 5 to play then yeah - you take one for the team

…pretty much at any serious level!

Of course he gained an advantage. He was on the deck near the opposition byline but by conceding the free kicks he was able to take up a more efficient defensive position for the ball that was coming towards their goal

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'll let you know how he gets on when they play Bromley down at Hayes Lane next month

There's plenty of famous players in League 2 now. Will Griggs has turned up a few times, even Bromley have their own one, ex-Engand international Carl Jenkinson, who is utterly ****.
