Serious question - have you ever played a team sport at a decent level?

Theres obviously degrees to it, like early in a game its less important, but towards the end of the game if you're winning you just have to do it.

I was screaming at Konate to take Semenyo out in our first game this season. Just rugby tackle the guy ffs.

Same thing with Suarez in the World Cup punching the ball off the line. Had to do it for the team. People can cry about it being unsportsmanlike all they want, but he gave Uruguay a chance to win the match. Thats all that matters for them.

10 games for making someone stumble?

He clipped his heels, he didn’t chop him down.

That’s a yellow for me. Cynical, but not dangerous.

Studs up, aimed at the achilles, the intent was to make contact and it was dangerous and reckless. 100% a red card for serious foul play imo.

I'm not sure he led with his studs. Looks like the top or side of his foot. He's tapped his heel, he hasn't raked him.

If every intent to make contact with the player is red, then there's going to be be a lot of reds.

No I haven’t played any sport at a high level mate. I get the desire to win at all costs but it’s the injuring ( or potentially )the opponent in the process that does my head in. The punching the ball situation I’d probably do too tbh.

Mate -you’re supposed to ask Harv what level he played at so he can continue his humble brag

I don't hate people. I just feel better when they aren't around.

10 games for being a ****ing cheat. If he made that foul with a legitimate attempt to win the ball a yellow would be harsh but that wasn't a legitimate attempt. I fed up of commentators, broadcaster, pundits, journalistscand fans justify players cheating.

I think a red and 3 game suspension is more than enough for what Morton did.

                        nothing to do with bragging.

It's more a mindset thing. I just don't think someone that hasn't played a highly competitive game would have any idea on the thought process that goes through your head as a player in these moments, or whats expected of you from teammates in these moments.

                          How's it cheating exactly?

If it looks like an Aussie & sounds like an Aussie it probably is an Aussie cobber

Because deliberately breaking football rules is considered cheating

It's an offence under the laws of the game, but it certainly isn't cheating. Punishable by a red and a ban, length of which depends on whether it is violent conduct, serious foul play etc. But cheating? Nope.
