I wonder would we have him back on a free transfer in the summer? I doubt it because we will look forward but let's say Milner was leaving on a free transfer anyway, and Thiago continued to struggle with injuries, then on a free - or a 1 year loan deal - it might not be the worst idea in the world.

I suspect that Jurgen might prefer to work with a new player - but let's say they thought that Morton or Clarkson was going to be a star but needed more time, then this could be a good fit.

And to add to that PSG are a basket case of a club - they signed so many players that they could never use them. Herrera, Draxler, Gini and Juan Bernat. Big signings and on huge wages…..
