BBC Breakfast has followed the whole story really well. I'd never heard of any of them before but yeah, he sounds like a true friendOriginally posted by Buzzo View PostSpare a thought for Stephen Darby.

When my kids were little I never let them watch a game live, only recorded so I knew if we had lost and then vetted accordingly
That way I bought them Liverpool loyalty
By the time they were old enough to understand the league table and that we might not actually be the best they were already indoctrinated

My two eldest are hers from a previous relationship. Their dad was a huge City fan and he died 2 years before I met our lass, so she wanted his boys brought up supporting their dad's team.Originally posted by Cormack74 View PostHow the **** did you let that happen
So now we've got the 2 eldest boys (17 and 15) who are City fans, the missus is a United fan and our youngest (6) likes whatever team is on telly and winning at the time. We have agreed that we won't force any team on him, he can make his own choice.
(Not that I'm not secretly pushing an agenda, and I know the missus is too

I would go along with this if the new ones replacing them were actually any good, but I mean....some of them that are on now barely have two brain cells to rub together. It's painful listening to them. The first one that springs to mind is Clinton Morrison. How the **** is this guy on tv?Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostTo be honest I think that this happens to all pundits after a few years. Personally I think that pundits mostly only have shelf life of a few (less than about 3) years where they offer any new insight, before they become tedious/boring.

Aye, turn on the radio for decent commentary on the match while watching on TV with the TV on mute...Originally posted by RichC View PostI think McCoist is decent but that's about it. The pundits we have in the UK are surely the very worst of what's out there.
Having the likes of McManaman, Jenas and Owen Hargreaves commentating usually leaves me turning the sound off.

Struggling to think of one i enjoy at the moment, Townsend, Ekoku, warnock, goodman are bloody awful on oversea streams; the Sky, BT, UK terestrisal are dreadful. If i had to pick one Hinchliffe is bearable

Imo, it was for a while, then became incredibly tedious and tiresome. His co-commentaries and punditry, for years, gave the distinct impression he'd rather be anywhere else. So **** off then mate, no-one's forcing you.
Although in his last year or two of work, I'd kind of come full circle and started to enjoy his sighing world-weariness again.
His comments are a joke though, predictably laying into wokeness. Bore off grandad.
