Wasn't it Mellor who broke John Welsh's leg and effectively ruined his career? (Preston v Hull)

Thommo picked those up from the milan dressing room, as many where left behind, he gave them to some of the lads that helped up reach the final with out having a place in the squad. Mellor, Pongo, Warnock don't remember who else that didn't get a medal.Originally posted by Maestro View PostThere was something on Tribalfootball today (yes, I know) with quotes from Mellor saying he swiped a loser's medal in 2005 which had been left there by a pissed off Milan player, seeing as he didn't get a winner's medal!

Choose the sword, and you will join me. Choose the ball and you join your mother, in death. You don’t understand my words, but you must choose. So… come boy, choose life or death."

I was surprised to see Rigobert Song playing for Cameroon in the African Nations' Cup. I thought he was an old man when he played for us - apparently not. He's still only 31 and has been at Galatasaray the last few years. I also remember a player called Lleyton Maxwell coming through around the same time as Djimi Traore. Their careers have diverged since. Djimi, European Champion, Lleyton last spotted playing for Connah's Quay Nomads.I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

He's the one who retired when he left LFC and then mysteriously turned up playing for another team in a televised European game a few years laterOriginally posted by JonesLegend02 View PostOne of my personal favourites is keeper Michael Stensgaard, who never made the first team after dislocating his shoulder putting up an ironing board.
He was a Danish Under-21 international and really highly rated, and I can remember slagging off Evans for not giving him a chance when James was at the peak of his Calamity phase.
Now retired according to Wiki. Cost £400,000.
