He wasn’t great coaching Brisbane in the A league and the way he left because of Covid only to then take a job in India, where he failed miserably, doesn’t help him either I’m sure.

His style was horrible. In the first half of the season he coached in Brisbane they scored maybe two or three first half goals. It was such a negative system. He played 3 at the back and wingbacks but the wingbacks never attacked. Tough to score against but if they conceded a goal they never looked like getting back in the game.

They got better after a while but it was a tough watch. And the way he and his assistant constantly complained about every decision was ridiculous. His assistant was particularly bad. Can’t remember his name but he was an ex Everton scout or something.
