      I do. What'd you get?

We won't win it... but things don't have to be as clinical as the cynics above are making it out. Well in I reckon
I could not dig, I dared not rob:

Win against Newcastle and we'll be:

2 points behind Chelsea - 2 games in hand
8 points behind Man Utd - 1 game in hand
9 Points behind Arsenal - 1 game in hand

Either way, if we keep winning our games this thread will run and run. Lets just concentrating on winning our games, so that if a miracle does happen and all three above us collapse, we are there to capitalise.

At the very least winning our games will make me feel better looking at the league table.
        Forwards.......

Well now it's 10 points behind Arsenal, same games played.

Wonder what odds we are now?

          EDIT: 100/1 now.

We should make this thread a sticky until we drop points. Be interesting to chart how quickly the odds topple if we carry on winning.

I guess it wont last much longer looking at our next four games in the league, but if it did...............

Either way I'm gonna keep bumping it back up every time we win and one of the teams above us drop points

I love being able to be stupidly optimistic again!

On the 17th Jan, i put $50 on @ odds of 151/1 to win with a 10 point handicap, with sportsbet. Possible win of $7550 fingers crossed,

So what you're saying is, you've got your fingers crossed that we'll win the prem by 10 clear points? Or have I totally misunderstood your bet?

I'd be happy winning by one point, but if we finish within 10 pts of whoever wins, i win my bet, so if the table stayed the same as it is now i would stand to collect $7550

Are you serious? That's incredible odds for such a bet.

I thought a handicap of 10 points meant that we would've had to win the league by 10 points or more.

Who did you place the bet with?

Sorry mate, you already mentioned it was with sportsbet.

I'm still a little shocked with that bet to be honest. I don't know anyone who who wouldn't have put money on a bet like that. It destroys Alan Key's bet of 200-1 to win the prem, that's for sure.

They had this point start handicap from the start of the season, but the odds weren't that good, and not been much of a gambler wasn't really that keen.

My brother put money on then, but doesn't follow the football, then he rang me and told me that the odds had blown out to the 151/1 and asked if i was keen for a punt then.

It was a no brainer at the time as we still only 12 behind at the time but with a couple of games in hand, then came the Villa and W.Ham games which haven't helped, but now i think we might be right, depending on the next few weeks.

If nothing else it takes away from the despair that is the realisation that another season has probably passed us by.

We are and the bookies, this thread has nothing to do with what you did in 2005. However it may be you if we win the title
