I don't think Marky really deserved the pasting he's got here. Stevie is a phenomenal player and that is added to by the fact that he is one of us. Today is a good day - five league wins in a row (although they were 5 games we should have won), a good chance of Euro quarters, possible progress in ownership, the bleatings after the last round of the Cup seem a distant memory.
The fact remains that when things are going badly Stevie does not seem able to provide the extra something to turn things around. Its the principal negative thing about him. I know he's hugely significant to our team, but I'd love to see him really pull the team round when they are struggling.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Is it a fact? Milan 05, West Ham 06? Didn't he do that very thing?

i honestly think some of our supporters only start supporting liverpool the beginning of this season.

What i expect from a player of his quality and stature is not to be bullied by some 20 year old portugese on his own turf. More importantly i'd liked to have seen him lead his players, encourage them and not to sulk when things don't go his way as he's done many a time this season.

Hopefully he'll learn from his mistake and realise he wasn't really playing a captain's roll when times got tough.

I expect to see a more consistent, focused and team orientated Steven Gerrard from now until the end of the season.
you obviously have a specific game in mind. Care to share?

OK. I'm talking of the league ... the week in, week out stuff. When we go through bad patches. Cup is different, he's done everything.

Had he stumbled on it in November....

Still we're flying now, and those two are the reason, the understanding between them is telepathic, that pass from Gerrard today and the Torres run to find the space, just brilliant and of course it helps that they're miles better than any of our other attackers. Though I suspect Babel will join them soon enough.

You can tell they love playing together.

It's a system that makes so much sense when you think that out of all our central midfielders, only one has to miss out on a place in the starting XI.

You're in a hostile mood today. I'm 40 years old, grew up in Huyton and have been a Liverpool supporter all my life. Your post is offensive.

Quite right. To this day I tell my manc mates that Baros was better than van Nistelrooy

He is talking about Anderson, who had a fair game as did Stevie, considering the ****e standard of that game overall.

Look forward to a rematch soon, at OT, bring it on.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

i used to always say giggs was over rated, that he never beat his man with ball,he done all his tricks in front of the man which made him look good, same for ronaldo, all he does is the step over,a few fancy step overs and hes the best player in the world.

back on topic, i think stevie's performances rely on how well xavi or masch control the deffensive side of the mid field, it really lets him break forward and thats when he's at his most dangerous for me

evryone doing what there suppost to be doing allows gerrard to threaten any defence, then we seem to really tick.

                                Absolutely.

And Lucas slotted in seamlessy as well.

                                I really feel we're 2 or 3 players away. A full back, a winger/attacking mid and maybe a striker.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
