Quite right. The only time Babel had Maicon was he really had a good run at him in the first and went around him instead of inside him and put a decent cross with his left.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI think Babel made it very easy for him – Maicon wasn’t tested much. Over the course of two games, only ONCE did he get into an advanced threatening position. That’s testament to us though, of course.

Yeah i fully agree that 'a shocking mistake' is over sensationalistic nonsense and Gray was daft to describe it in that way.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI don't need to watch it again, I know exactly what you mean. Gray failed to take into consideration the view the ref had and the fact that Burdisso was reckless in the extreme, especially when you consider he'd already been booked. Gray never sees the full picture, ever. He makes a rash call and sticks to it, no matter what the replays show.
It might have been slightly harsh but it was an understandable booking - not "a shocking mistake". Gray made it sound as poor a decision as the Finnan/Chelsea penalty incident at Anfield earlier this season.

Bashear is so bad I nearly changed over to ESPN and Tommy Smyth. I know no greater insult other than to of actually done it (which I didnt). Bashear is so bland and boring I have no idea why he is given the job.Originally posted by Harveybirdman View PostJust be thankful you dont get David Bashear commentating over there. He is useless, and then our HT/FT analysis is from Craig Foster and this old Italian Antonio Palumbo. Both hate Liverpool with a passion.
It makes it so sweet when we win
I love Palumbo though (even if he hates us?), those bags under his eyes should be donated to science and he called the Italian corruption years ago. Used to love his Serie A round ups. He was on the ball a long time ago.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

- I think we played both games with a lot of width and had Aurelio bombing forward as well. Maicon had a lot of defending to do and it did it well in the main.
That guy Rivas... now he looked like an accident waiting to happen..."Its not about the long ball or the short ball, its about the right ball." Bob Paisley

As for Finnan/Chelsea penalty incident, never has there been a worse decision and at least on revision we got an apology and the ref was suspended. Anything less was a joke and that decision still riles me.

To be fair deej, I thought it was a definite booking and there is no doubt in my mind (and i'm not seeing it through LFC tinted glasses)!!Originally posted by DJS View PostTo be fair and objective (i know it doesnt go down well here
) all that happened was that Lucas' leg was on the way down and when it came down, it collided with Burdisso - rather than Burdisso taking Lucas out. From where the ref was looking, it was a clear booking but on seeing the replays, i think it could've been 50/50. If you watch it again, you'll see what i mean. Lucas actually catches Burdisso with his downward-dropping leg. No intent on either part.
Lucas and Burdisso were both going for a 50/50 ball, Lucas got there first and knocked it past Burdisso, and Burdisso cleaned him out = Booking.

The worst case of this for me was when Pepe had that free kick given against him for handling outside the box at Bolton. As soon as the incident happened Gray was all over it saying how it was definitely, definitely outside the box, that it's a certain free kick. Then the replay shows Pepe two yards inside the box and he carried on moaning regardless.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostGray never sees the full picture, ever. He isn't 100%. He is playing with a knee injury. I would say that he is playing at 50-60%, at least that is what the swedish media are saying.Originally posted by Pacman View PostZlatan IS ****.
Most over rated player on the planet.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
