He's had a great season, but many strikers have had one good seaon in the prem and fallen of the pace. If he's still in top form this time next year we can start talking of these comparisons.Originally posted by Elvis View PostLet's see how he does next season and the one after....Drogba was awesome last season - better than Henry - but hasn't replicated that form for a variety of reasons. One season does not a great player make...not even in today's over=hyped, SKY-stylee football-obsessed world...Read the question - is he as good as Henry in his prime. Present tense. Length of excellence irrelevant. If we had Henry at his prime in our team now, would it be an improvement on Torres?Originally posted by red g View PostOnly time will tell ........if he has the impact henry had at arsenal i will be one happy bunny !!!!!!
all i know has torres has EVERYTHING to make him the best striker in the worldI'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I was trying to clarify the question. It does not really matter, no.Originally posted by Ben Tover View PostI mean, does it matter whether Henry would be good in our side or whether Torres is better?
We should be happy that we have Torres and we hope theres plenty more of him to come.I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Henry in his prime was off the back of seasons and seasons of prolific goalscoring. Proven over a period of years and a consistent world class talent.Originally posted by mersey86 View PostRead the question - is he as good as Henry in his prime. Present tense. So the answer is still no.

Then I'm a fool thenOriginally posted by DJS View PostYeah, only a fool wouldnt take Henry.
When you consider that Henry is on the way down and that he would cost £10m+ and £100k+/week in wages then it's simply not worth it.
Add that we would have to change tactics just so it would suit him and in the same time Gerrard would have to play deeper.
4-4-2 would be the only system that both Torres and Henry would fit in.
That means that we would have to sign one left and one right sided winger just to fit Henry into the team.
Another reason to why it isn't worth it.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
