He's had a great season, but many strikers have had one good seaon in the prem and fallen of the pace. If he's still in top form this time next year we can start talking of these comparisons.

Let's see how he does next season and the one after....Drogba was awesome last season - better than Henry - but hasn't replicated that form for a variety of reasons. One season does not a great player make...not even in today's over=hyped, SKY-stylee football-obsessed world...

Henry in his prime was off the back of seasons and seasons of prolific goalscoring. Proven over a period of years and a consistent world class talent.

So the answer is still no.

i think what mersey means is if henrys best season was say, 03-04 ,would henry do more for us (in that form in that season) this season over torres, IF that makes any sense......which reading it back it doesnt. hurumph

When you consider that Henry is on the way down and that he would cost £10m+ and £100k+/week in wages then it's simply not worth it.

Add that we would have to change tactics just so it would suit him and in the same time Gerrard would have to play deeper.

4-4-2 would be the only system that both Torres and Henry would fit in.

That means that we would have to sign one left and one right sided winger just to fit Henry into the team.

Another reason to why it isn't worth it.
