Titi was a real cult figure. Got a lot of fond memories of him, his goal at Leeds, scoring the winner v West Ham on the day his dad died and breaking down on the pitch, his back-heel/flick 1-2 v Bradford etc

Which makes it all the more surprising that Spurs turned him down

Henry is worth the risk. Kuyt was back to dismal against Reading and given we are not far away from being a genuine title threat,having another top shelf striker could be the difference between winning title and being also rans again.

My issue with Rafa over his use of Torres was that he rested him in the league match v Birmingham on 22 Sep and then started him in the League Cup at Reading. I'd have much preferred he did it the other way round.

But we've had 30 league games this season, Torres has played 27 of those, starting 24, 3 subs appearances. the other games he missed through injury. Rooney, Ronaldo and Adebayor have played less league games than Torres, but who gets the stick? Rafa.

Because that would take a degree of efficacy, competence and professional integrity, three characteristics that we all know these "pundits" tend to lack.

Like I said earlier, I reckon nearly every person on here is more informed and more intelligent than most of these pundits.

He's come a long way, not just since his Atletico days, but since the early days of the season when he was missing good chances, the like of which he is tending to put away now.

Sick and tired of hearing in the media of how Rafa should have played him more though, the latest proponent being Hansen. Rafa's only rested him for 2 league games FFS, both of which were in Sept!

This myth around "he shouldn't have been left out at start of season" really is doing my head in now.

Everyones at it, but you'd like to think it would be restricted to non-liverpool based pundits/non-lfc ex players.
But,as you mentioned, even Hansen came out with the rubbish on MOTD, , and then today Tommy Smith, who writes for Echo says the same, even though the paper he writes for has had an article recently about how this "hasn't played" thing has been exaggerated and misleading.

Yet, he still says it in an article today.. how dumb can someone be!!!
Tommy, you may be a legend, but you ain't half a knob in some of your articles.
