The bookies bit is a red herring. A rumour is started on the net, meaning more people than expected try and bet on an outcome. Bookies always shut up shop when there's unusal betting. Doesn't mean they knew something, just that people were betting.

lmao - shaggy is on one - i have always doubted these draws - fa cup draws, world cup draws, champions league etc etc - every time there is a major draw being done there is always a rumour of it being fixed - i'm sure i remember reading recently that in a fa cup draw they did a 'test' run and (for example) Reading got United - then when they did the real draw the first two names out the that were exactly the same

Wouldnt surprise me in the slightest. It's well known that Uefa hate us (and English football in general) and that slime ball Platini in particular. They dont want us anywhere near the final.
