I blame David Moores plane and simple. During the years of his chairmanship he allowed united and arsenal to gain the upper hand and over the years they became stronger on the pitch and off it. where we stood still blowing money on ****e and not marketing the club united just blew us out the water and this is still the case today as they now are a force that will always be able to buy £30m players to make their team stronger. I mean £30m for Rooney when he wsa 18 says it all.

I know alot of people will not agree but it is a bit funny that as soon as moores became chairman we started to slide. He took over in 1992 and the rest as they say is history. A fan he may be but a chairman he was not!

Stevie was in the box waiting for the free kick when masher walked over.

I'm not blaming Mascherano for the sending off. He simply asked that panda bear: What happened? That to me isn't dissent.

It was bad, no outstanding performances and reina made two or three serious errors (while still making several world class saves) but with only 10 men due to mascherano's utter stupidity it was an impossible task. Severely hammering individual players - playing a man down, against unquestionably for me the best team in the league, is unfair in my view.

We arent good enough, but we knew that before this game. dont blame the ref - its just embarrassing. we have a mental block against the best sides in the prem, its the only way i can look at it, we can beat any team in the world in europe so why is this happening?

Frankly ridiculous posts. Nobody was to blame for that other than us. I fully support Bennett in what he did, somebody needed to, I'm just disappointed that we had to be the first to suffer due to it. Ronaldo for all his faults was never in the refs face.

Masher was a fool. From about 20 seconds after his first yellow it was obvious he was getting sent off. After that we couldn't compete.

Credit where credit is due, United played very well today but we made it easy for them once the first 20 minutes had passed.

For all its plaudits, our CM was outplayed by Anderson Carrick and Scholes, and even Torres couldn't match the effectiveness of Rooney.

For our boys, credit goes to Aurelio and Reina. The rest didn't do what was required.

I'm no knee jerker mate, but there were several occasions when he was required today as captain and wasn't there. The main one being the Mascher incident. It was only when he'd been sent off and was on the sideline trying to get back to the ref that Gerrard became involved.

As someone said earlier, he's roy of the rovers, but no captain. I think Capello has noticed this too.

Where the **** did you surmise I was blaming Gerrard for today from my post?

Reina? He was at direct fault for the first 2 goals, yes he made some other saves but had he not fecked up the game would have been totally different.

Stevie was quite far away from the incident in the box. By the time he had got over there the ref had made his mind up.

The only person who could calm him down was Rafa.

We didn't play well, however we didn't go down in shame. There was a 5-10 minute spell where we had them on the back foot in the second half.

I hope Rafa has learnt that Babel, Kuyt, Skrtel are not good enough in big games.

He made mistakes yes, and they were disappointing. But he pulled himself together and then made 4/5 excellent saves to keep us in with a chance.

He showed the mentality required to play in the big games at the top level. Few others did.

referee may have been a joke but as usual rafa gets found out for what he is in the league in matches like this.

This team, this squad of players will never win the title.

Same old weaknesses, no width, no guile, and inability to carve out real chances against quality opposition

                              :whatever:
He was away from the play, mascherano sprinted over and broke through alonso's protests to leave it. gerrard could have done absolutely nothing. He didnt play well but no one did in a ten against eleven game.

The worst thing is that's 8 league games against the Mancs under Rafa and we have to show for it is a solitary John O' Pie own goal and King Luis ending Roy Keane's United career.

                                Sad.
