After what had gone one with Cole - the players should have KNOWN that there would be a crackdown. Masher let himself, the team and the club down.

Masch was naive but he was passionate and was asking the questions our captain should have been asking. Stevie was probably arranging a meet with Wazza or Rio.
When we came out in the second half we should has kicked the cunts off the park.
Too ****ing friendly and nice though.
Mascherano for captain.
we should have. All i wanted to see was Gerrard or Carra go straight through Ronaldo...leave the little cunt writhing on the floor with a busted leg."When a man insults my country I insult him, by taking his woman" Tony Yeboah
"looking through your posts since 2007 and what you have consistently written about my football team I have come to the conclusion that if you had 1 more brain cell you would be a plant .. your father was a hamster and your mother smells of elder berries, I fart in your general direction ..." Nicey

So by your reckoning - if that was Martin Taylors first offence (the tackle on Eduardo) - he didn't deserve a booking? Get real FFS. If the challenge is bad enough - it doesn't matter whether it's the first offence or not.Originally posted by Nick77 View PostHad he been a Scum or Chav player he wouldn't have got sent off - end of. He wouldn't have even got booked for the 1st challenge, it was his first offence ffs!!!Liverpool born and bred.

Them ****ers would have done it to us. Fergie would have went on about the ref's injustice and told them everyone was against them etc.Originally posted by Harveybirdman View Post

Should of been acted on years ago. Torres getting his yellow should be all you need to see.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Football matches are won by outplaying the opponent and by scoring goals, not kicking them all over the park. If United want to play football like that, let them do it. We're better than that. Torres never moaned for getting kicked all over the place, only once did he do that and he was booked.

Exactly. Worst yellow ever, closely followed by Mashers.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

It was a bad challenge but he did try to withdraw from it but he already committed himself. And it was his first tackle FFS. Technically speaking Mascher was in the wrong, but Bennett should have acted sensibly by giving him only a tickling off. He instead put down the marker on him, and based on the way he plays, there was gonna be only one result ... Him being red carded.Originally posted by Howard_lfc View PostSo by your reckoning - if that was Martin Taylors first offence (the tackle on Eduardo) - he didn't deserve a booking? Get real FFS. His first one was stupid. He shouldn't have given it as it was his first tackle. But how was he gonna get away with the second one when he ran 50 yards to confront the ref. Asking a Ref why he booked someone is known as dissent by the rules of the game mate. I can't see how he was right to do it. And he was pretty verbal towards Bennett beforehand and seen him mouth '**** Off' several times to the ref. Could have been picked up by the assistant ref and reported to Bennett anytime during the match so wouldn't have helped him.Originally posted by Skillz View PostExactly. It's a no brainer for me. He even pushed the ref if my memory is right.

In my day this game would have gone very differently. If Souness were captain, El Jefecito would have been too scared to mouth of at the referee, or he'd suffer the consequences.
Likewise Souness had his own way of 'refereeing'. You can be sure that Rio & Vidic would have got the message on the next corner at the very least a light raking of the studs down the calf would have let them know to leave Torres alone, or else.
But unfortunately we have no-one like that and hence are easily intimidated. The Crushing Machine MKII

Please explain why so many Chelsea player's have been doing it for years en mass, not a word. Was there a rule change last week.
The fact is if Bennett wanted to send Masher off he had opportunities. The time and place he chose to do it was not only wrong but egotistic.
He's a towell, a ****wit and we are now the bad boys of the EPL.Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

No mate this is rediculous. You cannot set new rules with 8 games left in the season. We see players say all types of things to refs the entire year then with 8 games left a player gets a yellow card for saying 'what happen'?Originally posted by fredo View PostAgree.

The FA is showing an extreme lack of consistency and leadership, if you want the rugby rules then fine but it must be at the start of a season not in the middle or near the end of it.

Bill****, the FA should have set the scene from the beginning of the season not reacting after an incident which one of their ref's showed no ****ing backbone.Originally posted by Howard_lfc View PostAfter what had gone one with Cole - the players should have KNOWN that there would be a crackdown.
