      It would be FOWLER!

It has to be Fowler for me for so many reasons. His amazing play first and foremost. Then there is his passion for the club and the fans. Followed by his sense of humour on the field (Graeme Le Saux incident, Sniffing the line incident and the 4 and 5 fingered salute to SCUM fans even when playing for a different team ). The next reason would be the fact that despite his amazing talent and success he still managed to keep his feet on the ground, never behaving like the jumped up Chav footballers of today who aren't fit to lace Fowler's boots. I still remember the "doCKers" celebration for which he recieved a punishment (which he just accepted) and I remember the penalty that never was against Arsenal. How many professional footballers then or now or indeed from any sport would do what Fowler did and told the ref it wasn't a pen? I can't remember it ever happening before or since. A true Anfield legend.

2nd in the list would be Carra. He's Mr.Liverpool FC for me. He has some similar traits to Robbie too. What reinforced my like of Carra was a little thing which just made me smile for hours. I saw a photo in one of the papers of Prince William visiting the England team before the world cup. All the players were there gathered round. I noticed their boots, EVERY colour and pattern under the sun including different studs, different laces all that bollocks.
But there was Carra, standing arms folded, unimpressed with it all, in his BLACK boots with normal laces and studs.
It just brought it home that he's a man of substance not image
rnm is funny, funny like funny haha.

I look forward to it. In the meantime, I shall be a simulacrum of a man spending his time fruitfully getting on with his life.
          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Sentimental reasons, gotta be Robbie Fowler. But since Rafa has taken over, popularity has risen for all players as we are now playing as a team and not just Ste Gerrard.
Finnan, slated under Houllier is now one of the best full backs in the country. Sissoko is nearing legend material.
                Carra IS legend material.
Agger, never seen a CB so silky.

All in all, we've never had a stronger squad than this since the premiership started.

Of course, but I was only a young buck when Hansen was around. I have seen him play on old tapes and stuff but I'm on about recent times.

Salif loves the club so much that he wants to stay no matter what

to be honest, i could easily of voted for xabi, fowler, carra, sami, luis or finnan. even momo had a shout

but i voted for steven gerrard.

                            first his "faults"

he thought about leaving and was out the door- twice it seems, but then maybe he needed that to appreciate what he was leaving.

sometimes he's an arrogant pillock it seems. but then i would be too if i could play like that.

the key for me is that when then team is struggling, or we need something to happen, the one player i look to is our captain.

he really is the fcuking man for me.

                            and here is the clincher:
he is so good that he is the only one of the current crop good enough to get into an all time liverpool 11 without any debate whatsoever.

and that is saying somethin- only kenny, souness, hansen and rush could claim similar status imo

                              True
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
