that's the truth. fowler would get in to a popularity all time 11 and in my 11 he makes the bench, but i can't see how anyone could look beyond dalglish and rush myself.Originally posted by paulcooper4not ahead of rush, hunt dalglish or keegan
and i never saw sir roger, lidell, keegan play for us as i was only 2 when kevin left"At a football club, there's a holy trinity - the players, the manager and the supporters. Directors don't come into it. They are only there to sign the cheques"

In with a shout... maybe, but the point was good enough to get into an all time liverpool 11 without any debate whatsoever.Originally posted by G_ManWhat about Fowler FFS?
Surely he must be in with a shout for the all-time eleven.
Kenny, Hansen, Souness, Rush and Gerrard only
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

How about digger? At his best he was unplayable. I've never seen a winger like him. So much pace, trickery, vision and could score with any foot from any angle. Apart from that he always worked f*cking hard for the team. Had to be Momo for me. He makes so much of his physical attributes, is so willing and has become the essential midfield destroyer, lacking the vision or skills of Alonso and Gerrard but compensating so well.
I love the way that he gets stuck in no matter who he is playing against, or where he is on the field. The fact that he hasn't scored yet also gives him an added cudos (a la Rob J), and while every week I hope to see this change I somehow don't think it will.
He plays like a school kid, seemingly not for the the money, fame or glory, but for the love of playing. When he came back early from his injury I was really worried for him and thought that someone less committed would have held back for a few more weeks (or months).
We have watched him improve his game, coming so raw and maturing so quickly - much more interesting than brining in an older more complete player.
Finally, in the future, I think people will talk about the 'Sissoko' position just like they do now with ukulele.
Current favorite, future hero.Luck - the only substitute for skill
