I´m sure that the second team would be considered stronger by some. But the point is that Kaka is probably the only player on the planet who even comes close to being better then Gerrard in his new position.

I think that if he thought it were the right decision for the team and the club I think he would. I don't think he's scared to make the big decisions, but I don't think he thinks selling one of our best players is in the best interests of the club at the moment

I`m not sure Rafa has loyalty to any player,even Gerrard.If Rafa thought the transfer fee was good enough and that he could add to the team with "World Class" players from that money then Gerrard would be sold for the greater good.

No one man is bigger than the club so ultimately if Rafa decided to sell Gerrard then so be it. Of course that would be a p.r disaster and pretty much end his reign with us so I have no doubt that at this stage of Stevies career Rafa will absolutely not sell him. Then there is the possibility that if he did sell Stevie and got some new players in and we were succesful all of us wouldnt mind anyway.
Theres no right or wrong on this as only the consequences would prove him right or wrong and hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Personally though I dont think stevie is the problem, its the mediocre players he has had to put up with for so long, improve the team and he will be a much happier player and that can only be good news for us.
