Hate to be a ****. But playing on the right in a 433 is VERY different from playing the same position in a 4231. Rafa explained the difference in one of his interviews on the offall. Either way Dirk, I believe, could play in pretty much any position you asked him to and he would do so with all the heart in the world and he would not embarrass himself

It's different of course but it isn't 'VERY' different. The point is playing in wide areas, and not through the middle, isn't alien to him.

And I think it shows.

Agree it's not that different compared to playing through the middle.

Rafa was just emphasising the defensive responsibilities in 4231 vs. 433 as shown in the first leg in 4231, you may need to play as a right back
