He says foreigners struggle to understand home-grown team mates such as captain Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher because they "speak with some peculiar local accent".
Tell me a foreign Liverpool player player who hasn't said this before.
He's right, the NHS is **** and crime is rife.
****e piece of writing and another excuse to have a pop at another Liverpool player who may not have hit it off since arriving.
Harsh.

Dont get me wrong I am with him, I think England is a bit of **** hole in places and the NHS is not ideal but If you are effectively a Millionaire and you move to a new country, first things first you get yourself a good lawyer, a good accountant, a good doctor, a private school and a ****ing private hospital .... but then again after seeing the women's attire he is dating he is hardly the brightest light on the Christmas treeOriginally posted by BFG View PostMaybe but if you were relatively new in a foreign country and your kiddy was sick where would be the first place you took them?Anybody who criticizes Klopp ever is a James Blunt. Meh. What's that compared to a delightful container? Name me a kid that wouldn't smile at a pretty bag.Originally posted by zimbo View PostBut Ronnies gives toys out with their Happy Meals. Enough to cheer up the poorly offspring of any underachieving, sartorially retarded Premiership goal-grabber.
Kids can choose their favourite food from the KFC Kids’ Choice Menu. The portions might be smaller, but that doesn’t mean we’ve cut down on taste – it’s as irresistible as ever. Choose your chicken, side, drink and dessert from the menu and we’ll wrap it all in a cute Kids’ Meal bag to put an even bigger smile on their faces."My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.

Spot on, he doesn't really say anything wrong. Hardly an "attack" as the writer tries to spin it.Originally posted by dww View PostI like the way the spin of the article is accepted. All he said was it was harder to understand scouse accents which may well be true if you are trying to learn English. It is probably true of any strong accent in any language if you are trying in part to learn from teaching.
Is anyone really surprised to hear someone say that Germany's health service is better than the NHS?Last edited by RedProf; 10-04-08, 01:33 PM.Bring Back Rafa Cakes

Don't rate him as a player or as a player good enough for our squad..
But I don't read anything offensive in his quotes...........he's just telling it like it is based on his experience......especially considering it involved a medical incident with his child..
When's the last time someone you know mouthed off about the health service ?
Regardless of whether he's loaded or not, he is as entitled as anyone else to decent public healthcare..........we all should be..
Once again, its another media spin on what a Liverpool player says..........why am I not surprised ?"I will make the boys feel your support"

Not really, the LFC medical staff are specialst physiotherapists, not pediatricians.Originally posted by Angryred View PostI would have thought the the club's doctor would have looked after his son rather than go to a NHS Hospistal or go to the Alder Hey Hospistal for the children?
A bit funny, that!"My commitment to Liverpool is 100 per cent. I would die for that Liverpool shirt. I think the club loves me and I feel the same, no matter what the situation." - Pepe Reina, Nov '09.
