Hopefully Ronaldo will be off in the summer....or just die....either will suffice.

The main difference is that Ronaldo is doing it for a team that are top of the league and in the CL semis...if we had been top of the league I suspect that Torres might be in with a chance....Originally posted by Ben Tover View PostYou can have arguments for both as Ronaldo is seen as a 'winger' (when he clearly is not) and playing for the Premiership darlings Man Utd does help his case however Torres has come into this season from abroad and hit the ground running in an under-achieving side.

Exactly. But a big chunk of the reason Man Utd are top is down to Ronaldo.Originally posted by Elvis View PostThe main difference is that Ronaldo is doing it for a team that are top of the league and in the CL semis...if we had been top of the league I suspect that Torres might be in with a chance....Forwards.......

Torres, Fabregas and Ronaldo are all up for the Young Player award as well:
Gabriel Agbonlahor (Aston Villa)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Man Utd)
Fernando Torres (Liverpool)
Ashley Young (Aston Villa)
Cesc Fabregas (Arsenal)
Micah Richards (Man City)
Torres is 24 isn't he? Apparently his ability is now such that he can actually reverse the ageing process. Expect him to whistle colours, shout the rain back into the clouds and announce a cure for silliness any day now.

It probably will be Ronaldo but maybe the fact that all of Torres's goals have come from open play where Ronaldo takes all free kicks and pens may have a factor.
Maybe not!
Torres for me all day.-----------------------------------------------

Doubt it'll be a factor but it's an interesting point. I wonder how many pens he's scored this year.Originally posted by kop-al-74 View PostIt probably will be Ronaldo but maybe the fact that all of Torres's goals have come from open play where Ronaldo takes all free kicks and pens may have a factor.

I think that's right, but what annoys me is when the BBC website says "Ronaldo tops list of nominations...". In what sense "tops"? Do the BBC get to decide the winner? It's a friggin list, in alphabetical order. Tossers.Originally posted by Exiled_red View PostIt's Ronaldo's everyone else is fighting it out for 2nd
